During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, tea from Yunnan was mainly sold through Lijiang to ancient Tibet (Deqin County and now) and kangzang. Some of the tea that entered kangzang was sold in Muli, Xiangcheng, Daocheng and Litang, and some went to dajianlu (today's Kangding) to replace the bamboo basket packaging in Yunnan with cowhide packaging, and then went on the kangzang line to Lhasa and other places. Along the way, there were chieftains and monasteries setting up cards to collect tolls, and the tea road was often blocked due to unrest. At this time, businessmen have to find other ways to transport tea. They received the route to Tibet from Deqin Bitu Bangda gongbujiangda Mozhugongka Lhasa. Every spring, they return to Tibet with mules and horses, loaded with beeswax, yak tail, musk, Cordyceps, etc., after exchanging tea in the tea market.
