In 1949, the territory of hakuga Township belonged to Kangbao Tuchengzi district; in 1984, it was changed from hakuga commune to hakuga township. In 1949, HAGA township was located in Kangbao Tuchengzi district.

In 1953, habiga township was established.

In 1958, habiga township was changed into habiga commune.

In 1984, it was changed from hakuga commune to hakuga township.
