Fushoushan town
Fushoushan Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Pingjiang County, Yueyang City, Hunan Province, formerly known as Sicun Township, is located at the foot of Fushou mountain, in the south of Pingjiang County, adjacent to Liuyang County in the south, Anding town in the north and Jiayi town in the East. The total area of the town is 136.59 square kilometers, and the registered residence population is 23194 (2018). It has 13 administrative villages (2019).

Historical evolution
Fushoushan Town, formerly known as the lion squat, because there is a stone mountain in the environment, like a squatting lion. Sicun evolved from Lion squat.
During the period of the Republic of China, it was called Sicun township.
At the beginning of liberation, it was a village in the Second District, and later belonged to Dongfeng commune.
In the 1960s, it was called Sicun commune.
In 1984, Sicun commune was changed into Sicun township.
In 1995, Ludong township (township government in Ludong market town) was incorporated into Sicun township.
In 2009, Sicun township was established as a town and renamed Fushoushan town.

In 1995, Sicun Township governed 23 administrative villages: Dongxia village, Ludong village, Gaojia village, Guyuan village, Zhiwan village, ta'ao village, Hengdong village, Xiaoshui village, Jiangshan village, Wudeng village, Santang village, Sihe village, Dahe village, Beishan village, Shizhen village, Baofeng village, Shangshan village, Tangfang village, Jixing village, Baisi village, Jiu'An village, Shuangyi village and Yinjia village. The township government is stationed in Si Village.
In 2004, Sicun Township had jurisdiction over 24 administrative villages.
In 2019, Fushoushan town governs 13 administrative villages: Shangshan village, Dongxia village, Beishan village, Baisi village, Shuangyi village, Zhiwan village, Jiangshan village, Sihe village, Dahe village, Luxi village, Yaofeng village, Baoshi village and Baifu village.

Fushoushan town has mica paper industry, plexiglass industry, process industry and other manufacturing and processing industries. Fushoushan town is one of the main production bases of insulation materials for China's Electromechanical industry. Fushoushan town has a total installed capacity of 6000 kilowatts of Baishui class IV power station, a national key construction project, and an installed capacity of 200000 kilowatts of Baishui class V peak shaving storage power station. Qiu chuangcheng
Qiu chuangcheng (1912.10.17-1982.02.21), formerly named Qiu Guisheng, was born in xiagongtang village, andingqiao Town, Pingjiang County, Hunan Province. Vice Minister of the General Logistics Department of the Chinese people's Liberation Army, Minister and party secretary of the fifth Ministry of machinery industry of the State Council of the people's Republic of China, and former commander of artillery of the Chinese people's Liberation Army are members of the ninth CPC Central Committee, members of the third National Defense Commission, and representatives of the second and third National People's congresses. In 1955, Qiu chuangcheng was awarded the rank of lieutenant general. He was awarded the second grade 81 medal, the first grade independent freedom medal and the first grade Liberation Medal.
Qiu Yihan
Qiu Yihan (1907-1956), originally named Qiu Xinzhen, was born in Sicun Township, Pingjiang, Hunan Province. He joined the Communist Youth League in 1926. In 1930, he joined the Red Army of Chinese workers and peasants and transferred to the Communist Party of China in the same year. He once served as the women's minister of the CPC Hunan Jiangxi Provincial Committee and Secretary of the general Party branch of the central military and political school. In 1934, he took part in the long march with the first front army of the Red Army. After the founding of new China, he successively served as secretary of the Party committee of the Nanjing Military Region, member of the Standing Committee and head of the Organization Department of the Nanjing Municipal Committee of the CPC, member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the CPC, and Secretary of the supervisory committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the CPC.
