Hetian Township

Hetian Township belongs to longhui County, Shaoyang City, Hunan Province. It is located in the middle and north of longhui County, 33 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to Gaoping town in the East, hexiangqiao town and Yankou town in the south, liuduzhai town in the west, and Qijiang Township in the north. It is the combination zone of northern mountainous area and western hilly area. The land potential is higher in the north and lower in the south. It is a small agricultural township with no obvious regional advantages.

The total area of the township is 81.46 square kilometers, including 74000 mu of woodland and 13197 mu of arable land. The township has 30 administrative villages and 252 villager groups, with a total population of 20277 (2017). In 1995, the former Hetian Township and changjuan Township were merged before the district was withdrawn and the township was merged.

The whole township is surrounded by mountains on three sides, with more mountains and less land, more sand and less soil. The altitude fluctuates greatly, and the natural conditions are poor. The upper part of the township is obviously mountainous, the Jiulong Mountain is winding and circuitous, with an altitude of about 550 meters, and the lower part is hilly, with an altitude of about 350 meters. The whole township is a typical limestone and granite area. There are layers of limestone, which can be used to establish large-scale gravel field and lime field. In addition, the township is rich in iron ore, silicon ore and other resources.

economic development

Since the reform and opening up, the economy of Hetian township has developed rapidly. In 1995, the total agricultural output value of the township was 16.89 million yuan, and the tax revenue was 1.111 million yuan. Hetian cement plant, the main backbone enterprise in the township, has fixed assets of 9.5 million yuan, more than 220 employees, an annual output of 44000 tons of ordinary portland cement, and an output value of over 10 million yuan. In 1995, there were 309 Township and village enterprises with 2533 employees.

The township is surrounded by mountains on three sides, the upper part of which is an obvious mountainous area. Jiulong Mountain is winding, with an altitude of about 550 meters. The water of Hanjiang River passes through the central area from north to south, forming alluvial fields with fertile soil and good water conservancy conditions. It is a double cropping rice producing area, rich in citrus, tea and fruit. At present, the area of bamboo forest is more than 35000 mu, and the volume of bamboo forest is 4.8 million; the area of Chinese fir forest is 48000 mu, and the volume of Chinese fir is 25000 cubic meters. There are layers of limestone, you can set up a large gravel field, lime field. There are orange orchards in the township, which can produce 300000 Jin of oranges annually. Through the development of hilly areas in recent years, a variety of famous, excellent and specialty fruits, such as extra large pear, chestnut, snow peach and Mishi pear, are gradually benefiting. Located in the center of the township, "yunxianyan" is a famous tourist attraction both inside and outside the county. The grotesque caves, beautiful rocks and various shapes have great development prospects.

In order to implement the spirit of the "three dare and three innovation" theme education activity of the county Party committee and grasp the transplanting of flue-cured tobacco, the Party committee and government of Hetian Township mobilized all cadres and workers to help farmers transplant tobacco seedlings.

On April 9, Chen Liping, deputy secretary of the township party committee, member of the political and Legal Committee of the propaganda united front armed forces, and deputy head of the township, led cadres and workers to the village to plant cigarettes for tobacco farmers free of charge.

Due to the continuous rain in the past, the transplanting progress of flue-cured tobacco in Hetian township was relatively slow. Yunxian cave

Yunxian cave is a karst cave. It is 380 meters away from the foot of Shizishan mountain, Shishan village, Hetian township. At the top of the cave, the terrain looks like a lion sitting on a huge stone platform, looking up and guarding the Yanmen. Yunxian cave is more than 1200 meters long.

Pang's memorial archway is located in Shishan village, Hetian Township, longhui County, Hunan Province. The workshop was built in 1807 to honor Tan Wensheng's wife, Pang's, who lost his spouse and cared for his orphan. It was built to commemorate the death of two in sixty years and to observe the bitter festival of forty years.

Tam Pang

Ouyang's chastity archway in Mamen

Ouyang memorial archway is located in Changpai village, Hetian Township, longhui County, Hunan Province. The workshop was built in 1876 to celebrate the loss of spouse of Ouyang, Ma's daughter-in-law, and his determination to pacify the orphans. It has been built for more than 50 years of chastity and 31 years of hardship.
