Pangjiapu Town, belonging to Xuanhua District, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, is located in the northeast of Xuanhua District, adjacent to tianjiayao township of Chicheng County in the East, Cunrui town of Huailai County in the southeast, dingfangshui Township and Duanjiabao township of Xiahuayuan District in the south, Zhaochuan town of Xuanhua District in the West and North, with a total area of 128.03 square kilometers.
In 1948, pangjiapu mining area was set up in pangjiapu Town, belonging to Xuanhua City, Chahar province; in January 1990, pangjiapu district was changed into pangjiapu Town, belonging to Xuanhua district. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Pang Jiabao town was 21960. As of June 2020, pangjiapu town has two communities and 16 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town people's government is located at No. 8, Jianshe street, eight districts.

History of construction
In 1948, pangjiapu mining area was set up in pangjiapu Town, which belongs to Xuanhua City, Chahar province.
In 1955, it was assigned to Zhangjiakou City and renamed pangjiabao District of Zhangjiakou City.
In 1958, it was transferred to Longguan county and changed into pangjiabao commune.
In 1961, it returned to Xuanhua city and became pangjiabao district.
In 1963, it was once again assigned to Zhangjiakou City.
In January 1990, it was changed from pangjiapu district to pangjiapu Town, belonging to Xuanhua district.
In October 1991, it was assigned to Xuanhua district.
