cultural background
Zhuting: as an ancient town, Zhuting has a long history and a long history. In the second year of Qiandao (1166) of the Southern Song Dynasty, Zhu Xi, a great Confucianist, joined hands with Zhu Xi. In fact, as early as the Three Kingdoms period, Zhu Ting was a densely populated market town with prosperous market and convenient transportation. The official set up a post station here, which was also a place for military strategists. It is said that Zhang Fei was ordered by Liu Bei to come here to investigate military affairs. When he dismounted, his entourage tied his horse to a camphor tree beside the post station. At that time, the "Shuan Ma Zhang" was still luxuriant, as if telling the vicissitudes of Zhuting to the people. In addition, many historical landscapes, such as Zhu Zhangqiao, Longtan academy, Ziyang Pavilion, Wanzhou Island, Yiwei Pavilion, zushi hall, Wangjiajing, Tianziling and horseshoe seal, all show the profound historical origin and cultural heritage of the Millennium ancient town. Zhuting's forestry is unique and famous in China. It is known as the "hometown of artificial forest sea" and goes down in history. It has been praised by the State Council and FAO for many times. In 1995, Hongqi village of Zhuting town was awarded the title of "national afforestation Qianjia village". Zhuting national and Forest Park, which is under planning, will be well integrated into the Xiangjiang River scenic belt and become a beautiful scenic spot on the land of Lujiang River. In the Agrarian Revolutionary War, the war of resistance against Japan and the war of liberation, 27 revolutionary martyrs such as Xiao Guanghai and Peng Guanyun successively died for their country.
Rebuilding the ancestral hall
On July 16, 2003, it was learned from the relevant departments of Zhuzhou County that Zhuting, a thousand year old town in Zhuzhou County, will raise 5 million yuan from the people to rebuild the ancestral hall of Buddhist holy land. After the reconstruction of the thousand year old temple, which is regarded as the holy scene of Xiaoxiang, it will become as famous as Nanyue, and effectively promote the development of tourism in the county and even the whole Zhuzhou. According to reports, Zhuting ancestral hall was built at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty and has a history of more than 1700 years. It is a famous Buddhist holy land. There are many places of interest in the hall, such as the ancient camphor and Zhang Feishi, which are listed as one of the sacred sceneries of Xiaoxiang. In the traditional Buddhist worship ceremony, if you want to go to Nanyue, you must pay homage to the grandmaster in Zhuting hall before you go. During the cultural revolution, the ancestral hall, like many historical sites, was crowned with superstition and destroyed. However, many cultural relics in the hall were left by the people at that time. After the reform and opening up, the local people and the local government have repeatedly mentioned the plan of rebuilding the ancestral hall, which has been stranded due to various problems such as funds. With the development of tourism, Zhuting people see the role of tourism in the economy. After several years of preparation, the conditions for rebuilding the ancient temple are becoming more and more mature. Under the leadership of the county government, it made a decision to rebuild the ancient temple, and through the official approval, the reconstruction of the ancient temple will be mainly based on private fund-raising, and the government will invite people with lofty ideals at home and abroad to invest. Farmers in the town have raised hundreds of thousands of yuan and officially started construction in mid August 2002. After reconstruction, the ancestral hall will be renamed xiangtian temple. The project is divided into three phases. The first phase of the project, with a construction area of 1000 square meters, is expected to be put into use in 2004. it is understood that Zhuting town is rich in tourism resources. The ten mile sea forest is famous at home and abroad. Officials of the United Nations agriculture and forestry organization have come to Zhuting
