Liushahe Town, belonging to Ningxiang City, Hunan Province, is located in the southwest of Ningxiang City, bordering laogranary and fengmuqiao in the East, Xiangxiang City in the south, qingshanqiao in the west, Shatian and Huangcai in the north.

Liushahe town governs 18 villages, 2 communities and 484 villager groups, with a total population of 54538 (in 2017), and the population of market town is 12000.

Luoyang Zhanjiang railway and S209 cross Liushahe town from northeast to southwest. The newly opened s71 yilou Expressway and S50 changshaolou expressway are the throat of central Hunan into Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province. Liushahe town is 62 kilometers away from Ningxiang City, 40 kilometers away from Loudi City and 80 kilometers away from Changsha City. There is a strong private economy here. On April 28, 2012, a forum on population and family planning work in some towns of Changsha was held in Hexing village committee of Liushahe Town, Ningxiang County. Hengshi town and Zhonghe township of Liuyang City were commended and awarded 100000 yuan for family planning work.

The fertility rate of Liushahe town was 7% higher than that of the same period in 2011. In the first four months, 521 cases of social maintenance fee collection were filed, 12 cases applied to the non litigation Executive Bureau of the court for compulsory execution, 1.2 million yuan of social maintenance fee was collected, 112 cases of unexpected hidden dangers were investigated and handled, and 92 cases were ligated. The town Party committee and government reprimanded and informed three village cadres whose work was untrue and their data were inaccurate; ordered one village cadre who caused bad influence to resign; and awarded 2000 yuan to the village which was rated as an advanced unit at or above the county level.
