Yuexi town

Yuexi Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Weiyuan County, Neijiang City, Sichuan Province, is located in the northwest of Weiyuan County. Yuexi township was built in 1935. It was transferred from Renshou County to Weiyuan County in 1958. Yuexi commune was rebuilt in the same year. The township was restored in 1984 and the town was built in 1992. 45 km from the county seat, altitude: 578 M. It is adjacent to Xinchang Town and Lianjie town in the East, Dongxing township of Rong County in the south, Wanchang town in the West and Lianghe town in the north.

It covers an area of 77.59 square kilometers. It governs 17 villages and 1 town community with a total population of 15815 (2017). On December 4, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the adjustment of some township administrative divisions in Neijiang City (No. 11 of Chuanfu civil administration): Wanchang town was cancelled and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Yuexi Town, and Yuexi Town People's government was stationed at No. 94 central street.

Liangmu mountain

Liangmu mountain is located in the northwest of Weiyuan County, 56 kilometers away from the county. With an altitude of 834 meters, it is the highest peak in ancient Lingzhou (now Renshou) and the watershed between Qingxi river flowing to Tuojiang River system and Yuexi river flowing to Minjiang River system. The two mother mountains are sharp and straight, because the mountains are like children under the two peaks, and the two peaks are like "Mu Yinzi". Since the Tang and Song Dynasties, it has been a famous Buddhist mountain in southern Sichuan, and also a gathering place for literati and poet Yan you to chant. "A hundred mile dragon with two mothers separated, meandering and flying in the clouds for half a day" and "pressing down the million peaks of Lingzhou, the two mothers are in the clouds", are the ancient poets' images of liangmu mountain.
The natural scenery around liangmu mountain is unique. It is a famous scenic spot integrating Buddhism, natural ecology and ancient village scenery. Gaoding Village

Gaoding village is located in Yuexi Town, covering an area of 1.5 square kilometers. It is the third largest ancient village in Weiyuan, with three gates of Dadao, Yaowei and Weiwei. Because of its secluded location, the gate of the village is well preserved. The four characters "gugaoding village" engraved in Xianfeng Period of the Qing Dynasty can be seen clearly. The top of the village has luxuriant vegetation and towering ancient trees. In the village, there are training ground, dianjiangtai and other sites.
Gaoding village is close to Xiangjia village. The nearest distance between the two villages is less than 100 meters. In the middle is the suspected Tiankeng which is 150 meters deep. From Tiankeng, you can have a panoramic view of the two villages.
