At the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, a market town was formed here, which was called "tingpaikou". At the end of the Qing Dynasty, it was renamed "changtangkou" according to the meaning of "long-term flow". Later, a levee was built in Yanwan to block the Laoxiang river. Since then, there has been no flood in this area for a long time. So it changed its name to "changkukou" and took the meaning of "retaining water with soil" and changed "three points of water" in the word "Tang" to "beside soil".
