Heshengqiao town is located in the north gate of Xianning City, close to shanpo street, Jiangxia District, Wuhan City, covering an area of 88 square kilometers. After the 7th army captured Wang Benli, it immediately attacked Nanqiao on the east side of Hesheng bridge. Wu Peifu's supervision team even killed several brigade and regiment level officers, but still could not recover the defeat. Finally, the independent regiment conquered Wu Peifu's command position from the front. Wu Peifu fled to Wuchang in a hurry by special train, and Wu's army retreated one after another. The Northern Expedition captured heshengqiao on the morning of the 30th and captured more than 3500 enemies.
