Pinghu Township

Pinghu township is located in the central and western part of Luotian County, connecting Hepu town in the north, Fengshan Town in the East and SANLIFAN town in the southwest. It is 27 kilometers away from Luotian County, covering an area of 100.94 square kilometers (2017). It has 22 administrative villages with a total population of 16853 (2017). 28 kilometers away from the county, the township terrain for a river with two mountains. Pinghu has beautiful scenery, seven mountains, two rivers and one farmland. The mountains are towering and uneven, with many mountains and green trees. The forest coverage rate is more than 80%. Tiantang river runs through the whole township. The river is clear and the fish are floating in it. On both sides of the river, there are green trees, exotic flowers and plants, and the beach is as smooth as a rock. It is a charming place for tourists to travel and leisure. Pinghu is rich in products and resources. This township is one of the main production areas of chestnut and sweet persimmon in the county. The name of huangjiayuan chestnut is passed on to the whole country, and Pinghu sweet persimmon is the best persimmon. Pinghu township has a long history and outstanding people. Luotian is located in the throat of the north and the south. In the Southern Song Dynasty, it was built here to resist the Jin soldiers. In 1131 A.D., the Yue's army killed the thieves, defeated the golden soldiers and wiped out the Hu Lu. Thus, Pinghu became famous for thousands of years.
