Gufu town

Gufu Town, belonging to Xingshan County, Yichang City, Hubei Province, is located in the northwest of Yichang city. It borders Huangliang town in the East, Nanyang town in the west, Shennongjia forest zone in the north, Huangliang town and Gaoyang town in the southeast. It is the new county seat of Xingshan County. National highway 209 runs through the town.

Confucius rock

Gufu town is named after fuziyan in the town. According to the records of Xingshan County annals (Guangxu Edition), "there is fuziyan in zoujialing, where is the tomb of huangu, the number one scholar of Song Dynasty." Master is the honorific title of literati and scholar in the old time. It is said that Huan Guzhen was very knowledgeable and had good character. Later, he was elected the number one scholar and was chosen by Emperor Huizong of Song Dynasty as his son-in-law. He wanted to marry the seven princesses to him. But master Huan abandoned his official position and returned to his hometown to marry Wenqing. In a rage, Huizong Longyan dismembered the "illiterate" scholar and killed him. After the body was sent to Gufu, the upright hometown people built a monument for him in Zou Jialing to commemorate him, and changed his place of expedition to "Confucius rock".

Houhe ancient dwellings

Houhe ancient residence is located in the north of Gufu Town, which is a typical "courtyard" layout. The room design is mainly based on the longitudinal axis, with two entrances in depth. It has certain research value in architecture and folk culture.

Yuanqin stone pagoda

Yuanqin stone pagoda is located in zhongyangya Village (formerly huangjiashan Village) of Gufu town. It was built in the first year of Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty. It is the bone pagoda of Yuanqin presided over by Xiayuan temple. The top of the pagoda is pearl shaped. The body of the pagoda is octagonal diamond with a height of 4.9 meters. It has seven layers. The first and fourth layers are engraved with regular script inscriptions. The fifth and sixth layers are engraved with plum blossom patterns. The seventh layer is a cylinder. The tile head is a lotus with eight sides and three layers The only ancient pagoda in Xingshan is also a key cultural relic protection unit at the provincial level.

Writing style of Shudong

Shudong Wenbi is a small tower in the shape of a brush head, up to 50 meters high. It is made of pebbles, bricks and Sanhe clay. It has three floors of attic, surrounded by ancient cypresses, and the terrain is dangerous. It was built in the early Ming and Qing Dynasties. Local people regarded it as the God of wealth, also known as the God of wealth hall. It is said that the style of writing and the inkstone pool of gujingping echo each other and complement each other.

Gufu old street

Gufu old street, the town of Fuzi before immigration, is the only reserved and reconstructed area in the construction planning of the new county. So far, many traditional living customs are still followed here, and the houses also maintain the architectural style different from that of the new urban area. It is the most prosperous place in the new urban area, with a lot of traffic. As the saying goes, "the geomantic omen of Gufu town is good. Maojiahe Gorge

Maojiahe gorge is located in the upper reaches of Gudongkou reservoir, close to Shennongjia Nature Reserve, with good ecology, beautiful scenery and pleasant climate. Water highway

Xingshan County water highway is the first ecological and environmental protection highway in China. In order to avoid deforestation and effectively reduce the damage to the environment, the local government abandoned the plan of opening mountains to build tunnels, but adopted the more expensive water bridge construction plan to build a "road landscape integration" water highway. Since its opening, it has become a new scenic spot for self driving. Gufu zhaojunqiao highway is an important passage connecting Yichang Badong Expressway with Xingshan County. With a total length of 10.9 km, it is a two lane class II Highway, including Xiangxi River Bridge and Gufu River Bridge, with a total length of 4.4 km. Because these two large bridges are located in the river, they are named "water highway". With beautiful scenery, they are also known as "the most beautiful water highway".

Gudongkou reservoir

Gudongkou reservoir is located 2.5km northwest of Xingshan new County, Hubei Province. The water quality is green and picturesque. Gudongkou reservoir is the drinking water source for tens of thousands of people in Xingshan new county.
