Shangjin Town, subordinate to Yunxi County, Shiyan City, Hubei Province, is known as "Chaoqin Dushu". It is 100 km away from Shiyan City in the East and 250 km away from Xi'an in the northwest. There are provincial roads Yunman road and Shanghu road passing through the territory, and national highway 316 passes through the territory. The exit of Fuwu expressway is 6.5km away from the market town, with a population of 24214 (2017).

Shangjin town is located in the northwest of Yunxi County, Shiyan City, Hubei Province, at the junction of Shanyang County, Shaanxi Province. It is adjacent to the Han River in the South and Qinling Mountains in the north. It is known as "the morning of Qin Dynasty and the evening of Chu Dynasty". Its burial location is very important. It is 100 km away from Shiyan City in Hubei Province in the East and 250 km away from Xi'an in the northwest. It is the bridgehead of Hubei Province in the West and the east gate of Shaanxi Province in the East. According to historical records, Pingyang County was first built by Wei in the Three Kingdoms period (262 A.D.), more than 1700 years ago. Shangjin is a place name with a long history. It was the place of Shang state in ancient times. The spring and Autumn Period belonged to Jin Dynasty, and the Warring States period belonged to Qin Dynasty. Shangjin county was established in the Northern Dynasty and Western Wei Dynasty, 938 years earlier than Yunxi county. In history, Shangjin county was established 14 times, 6 times and 2 times. It can be seen that Shangjin is the throat of Qin and Chu Dynasty, the political center and the military important place.
The ancient city of Shangjin is well preserved. It was built in 1403, the first year of Yongle in Ming Dynasty. It is 1236.6 meters long, 6.8 meters high, with five gates, an area of 80000 square meters and a thickness of 6.12 meters. It is a well preserved ancient city in Hubei Province. It is listed as a key cultural relic protection unit and one of the tourist attractions in the county. Because the city is surrounded by mountains and rivers and surrounded by willows, it is named Liuzhou city.
