Wang Yingzhen

Wangying town is located in the north foot of Mufu mountain, in the center of Lushan Mountain and Jiugong Mountain tourism golden line, and in the southwest of Yangxin County, Hubei Province, which is the "county of hundreds of lakes" in the east of Hubei Province. The territory covers 271.3 square kilometers (2017), with 350000 mu of mountain area and 48000 mu of water area.

In June 2020, it was rated as a famous tourism town in Hubei Province.

Historical evolution

The Ming and Qing dynasties belong to yongfuli and anleli in Anfeng township of Xingguo Prefecture. In 1926, after the Northern Expedition conquered Yangxin, it was called Fengshan.

During the Agrarian Revolutionary War, from 1929 to 1931, it was also called Fengshan District. Under the jurisdiction of pengshici Township, Taiping Township, Shanmu Township, Dahu region, Southern Song township. From 1931 to 1934, it was called Taiping District (ten districts) and Youcai district (eleven districts).

During the Anti Japanese War, it was called Yongqing Township, the fourth district. From May to September 1945, the CPC yangtongshan County Committee and yangtongshan Anti Japanese democratic government were established.

In June 1946, it was under the jurisdiction of the Fourth District People's government. In October 1951, it was renamed the seventh district office; in December 1954, it was renamed the Fourth District Office; in January 1956, it was renamed the Sanxi district office. There are Guohe township (named after Wu Guohe), Wangying Township, Taiping Township, Dongyuan township (Hengxi), Shanmu Township, Gubao Township and Dahu township.

Sanxi district was changed to Dongfeng people's commune in November 1958, and was renamed Sanxi District in July 1961, under the jurisdiction of Guohe people's Commune and Wangying people's commune.

In February 1984, the commune was abolished and Wangying district was set up, which governs Guohe Township, Wangying Township, Shanmu Township and Dongyuan township. The former Wangying district was divided into three townships: Wangying, Dongyuan, Guohe, and the Township People's government was established.

In April 2001, Guohe Township and Dongyuan Township were transferred to Wangying Township and Wangying town was established. At the same time, Wangying Tourism Development Zone was established.
