once
Once a prosperous place, a beautiful legend
Luoji, known as Qiaocheng in ancient times, was the most prosperous trade center between Dangshan and Xiayi in Han Dynasty. It is said that at that time, close to Qiaocheng, there was a Gaotaizi Lilou village. Standing on the Gaotaizi Lilou village, we could see Dangshan in the north and Xiayi in the south. There was a depression in the middle. Only Qiaocheng could stand between the two towns as prosperous as Dangshan and Xiayi. So far, in Luoji Township, there are still some beautiful legends. According to legend, Luoji township has both a town tower and a big pear tree that eclipses Dangshan pear. In these legends, Luoji people can still find the pride and prosperity in history. in Dalishu village, east of Luoji Township and bordering Anhui Province, there is a legend about the king of pear trees. According to the villagers, Dalishu village was originally named huoshenmiao village because there is a fire temple in the village. But later, a big pear tree grew in huoshenmiao village. According to Li Yingquan, a 67 year old villager, when he was a child, his grandfather, who was more than 100 years old, said that five or six adults could not hold the big pear tree together, and its branches covered an acre of land. in a season of pear blossom, a member of Kaifeng government went to the water tank to scoop water in the morning when he cooked. He saw several pear petals floating in the water tank. Curious, the member went all the way east to find the pear tree in the direction of the pear blossom. Finally, he found the big pear tree in Luoji township. The big pear trees are blooming and fragrant for hundreds of miles. It is precisely because of the magic of the big pear tree that the villagers nearby habitually call Dalishu village when they mention huoshenmiao village. Over time, Dalishu village has replaced huoshenmiao village and become the name of the village. At that time, it was from Dalishu village that Dangshan people learned pear planting technology, which led to today's Dangshan pear. According to the villagers, the big pear tree was felled at the end of the Qing Dynasty by the people surnamed Li in the village. Because the tree cutter felled the big pear tree, his family began to be in disrepair. Now, in Dalishu village, the male traces of Dalishu are hard to find, but the temple of fire is still full of incense. in the south of Luoji Township, there is a tapowang village. There used to be an ancient pagoda with a height of 30-40 meters, which confirmed Luoji's prosperous and dignified status. According to research, the ancient pagoda of tapowangzhuang was built in the Han Dynasty. In 1976, Li Huamin, then the village party secretary, took the lead in demolishing the ancient pagoda. The foundation of the ancient pagoda was 20-30 meters deep. The day after the ancient pagoda was demolished, the documents from the higher authorities about not allowing the destruction of cultural relics went down to Luoji township. But in the face of the ruins, the whole village can only sigh. When people in Luoji narrate the beautiful legend and development history that once happened in this land, they have a look for brilliance in their eyes
past times
The unspeakable backwardness of rural life
after the reform and opening up, Luoji Township failed to seize the opportunity of historical development, and the speed of economic development has always been at the bottom of Xiayi county. he once claimed to be the origin of Dangshan pear, and several villages adjacent to Dangshan also tried to plant Dangshan pear. Although the land is contiguous, Dangshan is the yellow sand soil of the old Yellow River, but most of the cultivated land in Luoji township is silt soil. The pear produced by sand soil in Dangshan is crisp and free of slag, while the pear produced by silt soil in Luoji township has slag. Luoji people have always wanted to revitalize their business with the prosperity of Commerce and trade. Because of historical habits, villagers in Yangji Town, Wangzhuang Township and other places near Luoji Township still go to Luoji to buy things when they buy red and white events. Luoji township is always full of people when meeting, which is very prosperous. However, the total turnover of the rural market is limited, and the turnover of thousands of farmers in one day's market transaction may not be as much as that of a pedestrian street in the city in one night. Relying on the idle market trade, it is impossible to promote the economic development of a township. Compared with Guandimiao town in Anhui Province, Luoji township can not grow Dangshan pear; compared with Yangji town in the west, Luoji township has no "boss" who runs famous tobacco and wine shops in the city. Luoji Township endured the status of Xiayi County as an economically weak Township in the desolation, and secretly sought the road of development. It was not until 2003 that Luoji township was finally found
