Taichen town is located 4 kilometers southwest of Linying County, Luohe City, Henan Province. It is adjacent to huangdimiao Township in the East, Daguo Township in the west, Duqu town in the north and Yancheng District of Luohe City in the south.

General situation of the town

With a total area of 67.68 square kilometers (2017), the town governs 32 administrative villages, 107 natural villages, 53362 people (2017), and 62000 mu of cultivated land. Beijing Guangzhou railway and Shijiazhuang Wuhan passenger dedicated line run through the whole town.

Historical evolution

Taichen town was named Wangqu district before liberation. The district government was located in Wangqu village. After liberation, it moved to taichen village and changed its name to taichen township. Taichen commune was established in 1965, the township was changed in 1984, and the township was withdrawn to build a town in 1997.
