Wang Zhaoxiang
Wangzhao township is located in the eastern suburb of Qinyang City, Henan Province, the western border of Northern Henan Plain. Qinhe River in the north, across the river from Boai County, Wenxian County in the East and south, Chongyi town in the southwest and Qinhuai street in the West. The total area is 66.33 square kilometers (2017), including 34700 mu of cultivated land, 29 administrative villages, 30 natural villages, 116 villager groups and 51530 people (2017).
Historical evolution
Because the township government was originally stationed in xiwangzhao village, it was named. Qing Dynasty belongs to the four pictures of Li going to the countryside. It was renamed the Second District in 1935 and the seventh district in 1935. After the founding of the people's Republic of China in 1949, it was incorporated into the first district. In September 1955, the district was abolished and Wangzhao Central Township was set up. The next year, it was renamed Wangzhao township. In August 1958, the township was abolished and Wangzhao people's commune was set up. In November of the same year, it was merged into Chengguan commune. In January 1960, it was separated out and restored to Wangzhao commune. In December 1983, the commune was abolished and Wang Zhaoxiang was set up. In 2005, 18 villages in mulou Township were included as a whole.

Agricultural specialty
Wangzhao township has a flat terrain, beautiful environment, rich resources, fragrant rice and wheat, and prosperous industries. It is rich in wheat, corn, soybean, sorghum, barley, mung bean, millet, upland rice and other food crops, as well as peanut, cotton, rape, watermelon, vegetables, medicinal materials, forest and fruit and other economic oil crops. It is a key grain producing area. In particular, Rehmannia glutinosa, Chinese yam, Achyranthes bidentata and chrysanthemum "four Huai herbs" produced in this township are of excellent quality and best efficacy. They have been listed as "imperial tribute" in history and are well-known all over the world. New breakthroughs have been made in the adjustment of agricultural structure. At present, the vegetable planting areas close to the urban areas have been basically formed, such as Zhaozhuang, Zhongxian, dongwangzhao and xiwangzhao; the peanut, sweet potato, huaishanyao and other economic crops planting areas mainly in Longjian and Mapu beach; and the melon and fruit planting areas along Qinwen highway and Shangfu Road, with a total area of more than 10000 mu and a grain to crop ratio of 7:3.

In 1997, it achieved a yield of 1000 Jin per unit area of wheat, which was named as "the township of 1000 Jin per unit area of wheat" by Jiaozuo Municipal People's government.
