Shuiye town

Shuiye town is located 20 kilometers to the west of Anyang City. It is an important commodity distribution center of Shanxi, Hebei, Shandong and Henan provinces. It has a history of more than 1400 years and is known as "yinshuiye". The town covers an area of 97 square kilometers with a total population of 240000. It has 18 neighborhood committees and 41 administrative villages.

Shuiye town was listed as one of the "Top 1000 towns with comprehensive strength in China in 2018". In October 2019, Shuiye town was selected as one of the "Top 1000 towns with comprehensive strength in China in 2019".

Historical evolution

Shuiye has a history of more than 1400 years.

In November 1937, Shuiye town was occupied by Japanese invaders.

In 1945, Shuiye town was liberated, and Anyang County Party committee and Anyang County People's government were stationed in Shuiye.

In 1954, the Anyang County government moved to Anyang City, and the people's Government of Shuiye town was located in the west of the middle section of North Street.

In 1958, 22 senior societies in Shuiye town and nearby villages were merged into Zhuquan society.

In 1959, he moved to the Gulou temple in the north of Dongbei street.

In 1968, Shuiye established the Revolutionary Committee of Shuiye commune.

In 1975, Shuiye people's Commune and Anyang County Party committee office were merged and changed into Shuiye town.

He moved to Fuyan road in 1985.

In April 2016, the administrative institutions of shuishuiye town and Jiangcun town were integrated into a new administrative institution of Shuiye town.

In November 2016, after the adjustment of management scope and management system in some areas of Anyang City, nine towns in the west of Anyang County, including Shuiye Town, were under the jurisdiction of Yindu District.

On August 4, 2014, with the approval of the people's Government of Henan Province, the Department of civil affairs of Henan Province issued the reply of the Department of civil affairs of Henan Province on adjusting the administrative divisions of Shuiye town and Jiangcun town in Anyang County (yuminxingpi [2014] No. 35), which agreed to cancel Shuiye town and Jiangcun town in Anyang County and establish a new Shuiye Town, with the administrative areas of Shuiye town and Jiangcun town as the new administrative areas of Shuiye town. The new people's Government of Shuiye town is located at 102 Fuyan Road, Shuiye town. After the adjustment of administrative divisions, the administrative area of Shuiye town has increased from 46.07 square kilometers to 97 square kilometers, with a total population of about 240000. Shuiye town is located in the north of Henan Province, 20 kilometers west of Anyang City. The total terrain is high in the West and low in the East. It is the junction of Shanxi, Hebei, Shandong and Henan provinces and is under the jurisdiction of Yindu District.
