Xiaojie Township

Xiaojie township is located 18 kilometers northwest of Luoning County, adjacent to the eastern Song Dynasty in the East, Madian in the West and Shaanxi county in the north, with a total area of 174.1 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 32 administrative villages, 219 natural villages, 214 villager groups and 23268 people (2017). It is composed of Wangcun Township and Xiaojie Township before Township Institutional Reform in 2005.

In July 2020, it won the honorary title of national health Township from 2017 to 2019.

Xiaojie township is located 17 kilometers north of Luoning County, covering an area of 174.1 square kilometers. Tobacco production has become the main channel for Xiaojie township to generate financial revenue and increase farmers' income. In 2013, more than 16000 mu of tobacco leaves were planted in the township, including more than 11000 mu of continuous planting. For eight consecutive years, it was rated as "advanced township of tobacco production" by Luoning County Government, and for five consecutive years, it was rated as "advanced township of tobacco production" by Luoyang Municipal government.

Xiaojie township is rich in forestry resources, with a timber stock of 130000 cubic meters. In addition, there are more than 20000 mu of forestable slopes and gullies of Robinia pseudoacacia. Surrounded by mountains in the northwest of the township, the scenery is pleasant. Robinia pseudoacacia trees are widely planted around the mountain. From late April to early May every year, Robinia pseudoacacia flowers are in full bloom all over the mountains. The snow-white Robinia pseudoacacia flowers are blooming in the branches, bees and butterflies are flying in the air. The air is filled with a faint fragrance, which is fascinating and has great tourism development potential.

Historical evolution

In 1958, it belonged to Chengguan commune. In 1962, it was set up as Xiaojie commune. In 1984, it was changed to township. In 1997, it covers an area of 133.1 square kilometers and has a population of 11000. It has jurisdiction over 16 administrative villages, including Xiaojie, Wanggou, Jiayuan, Nanpo, Jiangyang, Tianao, Jiecun, Wacun, Chagou, Shuangqiao, Shangcun, Guanling, Weizi village, Shanhou, Shangen and Zhuyuangou. In 2005, Wangcun township was abolished, and its administrative area was under the jurisdiction of Xiaojie Township, and the resident of Xiaojie township government remained unchanged.

The tobacco planting area of the township is 631 hectares, with 13.25 million yuan invested in tobacco farmers and 1.16 million kg of tobacco purchased (90.2% of which are superior). The per capita income of tobacco growers was 1200 yuan, and the tax revenue was 2.916 million yuan. For the eighth consecutive year, it was rated as the county's tobacco production advanced township, and for the fourth consecutive year, it was rated as the city's tobacco production advanced township. A comprehensive direct subsidy of 1.601 million yuan was distributed to 6889 farmers, including 549000 yuan for grain. The total grain output is 22007 tons (including 12069 tons of summer grain and 9938 tons of autumn grain). (with an investment of 3.6 million yuan) was established by introducing funds, and the development project of commercial facade house in anqiao mountain (with an investment of 4 million yuan) was completed. The total business income of private enterprises in the township was 18.92 million yuan, with added value of 6.13 million yuan and taxes of 720000 yuan, accounting for 145.5%, 204.3% and 180% of the annual target respectively.
