Linchi town
Linchi Town, belonging to Zouping City, Binzhou City, Shandong Province, is located in the south of Zouping city. It borders Zhoucun District of Zibo City in the East and south, Zhangqiu City of Jinan City in the southwest, and Xidong and Haosheng streets in the north. The area is 51.57 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, 28030 people registered residence in the town.
Linchi District in 1961. In August 1968, the district was withdrawn and linchi commune was restored. In 1984, it was restored to linchi township. On September 25, 1994, the township was transformed into a town. As of June 2020, linchi town has 43 administrative villages.
By the end of 2018, there were 341 industrial enterprises in linchi Town, including 14 Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size, and 54 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
Linchi town was originally the Sixth District of Zichuan county.
In 1955, it was assigned to Changshan County, belonging to the seventh district.
In April 1956, it was located in linchi District of Zouping County.
In January 1958, it was called linchi township. In November of the same year, it was changed into linchi commune.
