Fangcheng town is located in the northwest of Lanshan District, at the junction of Lanshan district and Feixian County. It is adjacent to Wanggou town and Zaoyuan town in the East, Huyang town in Feixian County in the west, Yitang town and Tanyi town across the river in the south, and Xuezhuang town in Feixian County in the North. Fangcheng town has a long history and culture. As early as four or five thousand years ago, there were human activities here. Historical evolution

Fangcheng town got its name from its residence in Fangcheng, which is the hometown of Fangyi in the spring and Autumn period. As early as four or five thousand years ago, there was human activity here.

From the Western Han Dynasty to the Jin Dynasty, the village of guchengli was governed by Huaxian county.

In the late Qing Dynasty, it was Fangcheng community of Feixian County, and in the early Republic of China, it was the third district of Feixian County.

It was changed to Fangcheng Township in March 1958, and Fangcheng commune was established in the autumn of the same year. It was named Fangcheng town in September 1985.

In January 2011, with the approval of Shandong provincial government, nine administrative villages including Luyang village, Dingwang village, gaojiaweizi village, Changguo village, Shengliang village, Yanlin village, Tongzhuang village, Yandian village and beiwangjiazhuang village in Fangcheng town were put under the jurisdiction of Xuezhuang town in Feixian County, and the rest of the renovation system was put under the jurisdiction of Lanshan District in Linyi city.

In November 2011, Xinqiao Town was abolished and its original administrative region was merged into Fangcheng Town, and the resident of the town government remained unchanged.
