Chentuan town
Chen Tuan Town, belonging to Donggang District of Rizhao City, Shandong, is located in the west of north of the Rizhao City, and the South Lake town. The south is separated from West Lake Town, and the three towns are located in the West. The north border with Wulian County Street, the area is 78 square kilometers, and in 2018, the registered residence population was 28984.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it was Shaotong District, also known as the seventh district and Shentong district. After 1949, it was still called Shentong District, also known as the 12th district. In March 1971, Chen Tong commune was restored. In May 1985, it was changed to dongchentong township. In March 1995, it was changed to Chentong town. As of June 2020, chentuan town has 38 administrative villages.
In 2018, there were 16 industrial enterprises in chentuan Town, including one above scale and 55 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it was Shaotong District, also known as the seventh district and Shentong district.
After 1949, it was still called Shentong District, also known as the 12th district.
In May 1950, it was divided into two districts, thirteen (Nanhu) and fourteen (Shentong).
In February 1952, it was merged into Shentong district.
In 1958, the district was withdrawn and Shentong township was built. In August of the same year, Heping commune was established.
In February 1959, the peace commune was merged.
In June 1962, Chen Tong commune was set up by Xihu commune. In December of the same year, the commune was abolished.
In March 1971, Chen Tong commune was restored.
In June 1984, it was changed to dongchentong District, with jurisdiction over six townships.
In May 1985, it was changed to dongchentong township.
In March 1995, it was changed to Chentong town.

Chentuan town is located in the west by north of Rizhao City, adjacent to Nanhu town in the East, Xihu town across Rizhao reservoir in the south, sanzhuang town in the West and jiejie town of Wulian County in the north, covering an area of 78 square kilometers.

Chentuan town is mostly low mountains and hills. The terrain is slightly higher in the West and lower in the East, higher in the north and lower in the south. The ground elevation is generally between 42.5 and 424 meters. The highest point is located at the top of pingduo in caizhuang mountain, 424 meters above sea level; the lowest point is located in Rizhao reservoir, 42.5 meters above sea level.

Chentuan Town River belongs to yimusi water system, ChenTong river is the upstream section of the main stream of Futong River, originated in Ma'anshan, Wulian County, from the northeast of beibaotong village to Rizhao reservoir from north to south. ChenTong river is 4.8 km long, with a drainage area of 29 square kilometers. Shizhai river is a tributary of the upper reaches of Futong river. It originates from the south foot of shangcaizhuang mountain, with a length of 11.5 km and flows into Rizhao reservoir.
