Xiachu town

Xiachu Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Rushan City, Weihai City, Shandong Province, is located in the northeast of Rushan City, adjacent to Fengjia town in the East, Xiacun town and Dagushan town in the south, Wuji town in the West and Muping District of Yantai City in the north, with an administrative area of 126.31 square kilometers.

Xiachu town originally belonged to the eighth and ninth districts of Muping County; in 1950, it belonged to the seventh district of Rushan County; in June 1989, Xiachu town was built from the township. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence households in the early towns was 27656. As of June 2020, Xiachu town has 37 administrative villages.

In 2018, Xiachu town achieved a total industrial and agricultural output value of 4.268 billion yuan. Among them, the total industrial output value was 1.057 billion yuan, and the total agricultural output value was 3.211 billion yuan. The total income of rural economy is 2.014 billion yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers is 16232 yuan. In 2018, there were 26 industrial enterprises in Xiachu Town, including 5 above scale and 56 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

Xiachu town originally belonged to the eighth and ninth districts of Muping County.

In 1941, it was the Fourth District of mouhai county.

In 1942, it was changed into the seventh district.

In 1945, it belonged to Xiachu District of Rushan county.

In 1950, it belonged to the seventh district of Rushan county.

In 1951, Xiachu township was established.

In September 1958, Xiachu commune was established.

In May 1984, the commune was withdrawn and Xiachu township was built.

In June 1989, the township was removed and Xiachu town was built.

At the end of 2011, Xiachu town had 37 Administrative Villages: Xiachu, Lizhuang, Waizhuang, kannantou, shannantou, Duanjia, gucchu, Sanjia, Xiawa, xiacaobu, shangcaobu, Huanggezhuang, hujiakou, Xinzhuang, Xipo, Yinggezhuang, Chujiagou, SHANGCHU, Zhangjiagou, shijiatuan, Rizhao Zhuang, xinjiatuan, leizhongqian, beilutou, shanqianzhuang, bojizhang, dongmataishi, Xima Taishi, gegegezhuang, Henan, Wushan, Xizhuang, beidongzhuang, shanjiatuan, nandongzhuang, zaodi, chejiakuang.

As of June 2020, Xiachu town has 37 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town people's government is located in Jinfu Road, Xiachu village.

Xiachu town is high in the West and low in the East, and the central and southern part is flat. The terrain is mostly low mountains and hills, with plains and lowlands between them. The central and southern part is the alluvial plain of Huanglei river. Famous people

Duan Chengzhai (1896-1935), named Chengzhai, was born in Duanjia village of Xiachu town. In 1919, he was admitted to Muping normal school. In 1931, Cheng Zhai went to the Northeast alone and joined the volunteer army.
