Yangting town

Yangting Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Huancui District, Weihai City, Shandong Province, is located in the southwest of Weihai City, adjacent to Xiyuan street in the East, Wangtuan town in the south, chucun town in the West and Zhangcun town in the north. The administrative area is 70.35 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the population of the registered residence in the town was 22765.

In February 1956, it was transferred to Wendeng County; in June of the same year, Yangting, Gangtou and Beiguan townships were assigned to Weihai City; in September of the same year, Yangting township was established. In August 1958, Yangting commune was established. In April 1984, it was changed to Yangting town. As of June 2020, Yangting town has 25 administrative villages and 8 communities.

History of construction

In the Qing Dynasty, the territory belonged to Xinwang capital of Wendeng county.

Qing Guangxu 24 years (1898), designated as the British concession.

In October 1930, it was the fourth autonomous region of Weihaiwei administrative region.

In September 1945, it belonged to Yangting District of Weihaiwei city.

In March 1950, it was transferred to the 13th District of Kunyu County, with eight townships including Nanjiao, ludaokou, Gangtou, Yangting, Beiguan, Jiangtuan, Xiaocheng and Hanjia.
