Jitai town is located in the southernmost part of Shouguang City, Weifang City, Shandong Province. It is the South Gate of Shouguang City, adjacent to Changle in the southeast, adjacent to Qingzhou in the southwest, and 12.5km away from Shouguang City in the north. The town covers an area of 84.36 square kilometers, with 4667 hectares of arable land. It governs 72 administrative villages and has a population of 55182 (2017). There is mi river flowing through the whole town from south to north, which is the dividing line with sunjiaji street and Shengcheng street. Jitai town is the ancient capital of ancient China. Jitai town is the ancient capital of ancient China.
Ji state, from the Western Zhou Dynasty to the early spring and Autumn period, was one of the important vassal states. It had a close relationship with the royal family of Zhou Dynasty and had frequent contacts with neighboring countries. In the 49th year of King Ping of Zhou Dynasty (722 BC), Ji conquered the Yi kingdom. In the seventh year of King Zhouzhuang (690 BC), Qi Xianggong sent troops to attack Ji, and Ji kingdom was defeated and died. Ji Kingdom has existed for about 300 years from the time it was granted to extinction. After Qi destroyed Ji, it was renamed "drama". "Shouguang county annals" contains: "drama has kiosk, ancient Jiguo also.". In the early Western Han Dynasty, it belonged to Zichuan state. In the 18th year of Emperor Wen of the Han Dynasty, Zichuan was set up with three counties: Ju, Anping and Louxiang. Since the Eastern Han Dynasty, it belongs to Shouguang county.

The cultural relics unearthed in and around the old city include the bronze Marquis bell, marquis Zhen, hollowed out copper fumigation stove, bronze tripod, three legged plate, "Yizi" jade wall, pottery beans and pots, "trees and animals" half tile, "Changle Weiyang", "qianqiuwansui" round tile, and hollow brick decorated with green dragon and white tiger. These cultural relics are collected in Shanghai, Shouguang, Qingzhou and other museums.
The ancient city of Ji Kingdom began in the Western Zhou Dynasty and ended in the Han Dynasty. For more than a thousand years, there were many famous scholars, poets and scholars. Among the eight ancient cultural celebrities in Shouguang, Ji state occupies three.
Gongsun Hong (200-121 BC) was born in Zichuan of Western Han Dynasty. When he was young, he once served as a prison officer in Xue county. Later, he decided to study in Lutai (now Lutai village, Wangliu town) until he was 40 years old, studying the biography of Gongyang in the spring and Autumn period. In the first year of Jianyuan (140 BC), when he was 60 years old, he was recruited by Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty and was appointed doctor. In the third year of Jianyuan (137 BC), he was sent to Xiongnu. In the fifth year of Yuanguang (130 BC), at the age of 70, he accepted the imperial edict again and was worshipped as a doctor. In the third year of Yuanshuo (126 BC), he was appointed as the imperial historian. Yuanshuo five years (124 BC) as prime minister, fengpingshou (now Weicheng District Wangliu town) Hou. In March of the second year of Yuanshou (121 BC), he died at the age of 80. Buried in Lutai, the tomb remains today.
Dongfang Shuo, a famous official of the Western Han Dynasty, was born in Pingyuan county. Its temples, ancestral halls and tombs are all located in the northwest corner of Dongfang village, Jitai town. There is no research on the date when it was first built. According to Shouguang county annals, the people of Dongfang village cherish their ancestors and pursue far away. The village is named for its surname, the ancestral temple is built for the village, and the tomb is built for the ancestral temple. During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty, Liu Youcheng, the magistrate of Shouguang County, presided over the repair of the ancestral temple and wrote the inscription of Mr. Dongfang. In 1998, the ancestral temple was rebuilt, and the temple fair in the past has been restored. Every year from the 23rd to the 25th of the lunar calendar, there is a sea of people, bustling, paper boats, candles, brilliant lights, tourists, fragrant fog, all kinds of snacks, juggling, singing and dancing, circus, year after year, which attracts many Chinese and foreign tourists to visit.
An Zhiyuan (1628-1701) was a famous scholar and writer in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. Now Shouguang City Jitai town Anjiazhuang people. There are 47 volumes of poems and essays in his life, including Jicheng manuscripts, Yushan collection, jiechongyin, Jicheng manuscripts (including dongguicao, yuejiangcao, langyoucao, Liucun zayong, etc.), and Ciyu.
