Tuoji town belongs to Penglai District, Yantai City, Shandong Province. It is located in the middle of Miaodao islands, adjacent to the Yellow Sea in the East and the Bohai Sea in the West. It is rich in fishery resources. With a land area of 7.11 square kilometers and a water area of 943.13 square kilometers, Tuoji town has jurisdiction over eight administrative villages, 3500 households and a population of 11000. It is the only island town with 10000 people in Shandong Province and is known as "the first town on Shandong island".
