Dongying agricultural high-tech industry demonstration zone is located in the suburbs of Dongying central city. It was restructured into Dongying high efficiency ecological agriculture demonstration zone in 2010 and renamed as Dongying agricultural high tech industry demonstration zone in June 2012. In August 2010, Dongying efficient ecological agriculture demonstration zone was established. in December 2010, the Management Committee of the demonstration zone was officially established. in November 2011, it was approved as a provincial agricultural high-tech industry demonstration zone by the provincial government. in April 2013, it was approved as the national agricultural science and technology park by the Ministry of science and technology of the people's Republic of China. on June 8, 2013, Dongying high efficiency ecological agriculture demonstration zone was renamed as Dongying agricultural high tech industry demonstration zone.

The demonstration zone has three branches and four administrative villages. It has four state-owned enterprises, including Guangbei Industrial Corporation, xincubic investment company, Jinghua forestry company and high efficiency ecological agriculture development company.
