Hequ town
Hequ Town, belonging to Ningjin County, Xingtai City, Hebei Province, is located in the west of Ningjin County, adjacent to Fenghuang town in the East, beihezhuang town in the south, Baixiang County in the west, and huanmadian town in the north. It is 8 kilometers away from Ningjin County People's government, with a total area of 79.6 square kilometers.
During the period of the Republic of China, Hequ town was located in the middle of Ningjin County; in 1999, Hequ town was changed from Hequ township to Hequ town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in river canal town was 72208. As of June 2020, Hequ town has 33 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town people's government is stationed in Hequ village.
Grain crops in Hequ town are mainly wheat and corn; animal husbandry is mainly dairy cattle, pigs and chickens. In 2018, there were 80 industrial enterprises in Hequ Town, of which 11 were above scale.
History of construction
During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to the Central District of Ningjin County. In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), it belonged to the first district of Ningnan County and zhaoyuanning county.
In October 1949, it was a district of Ningjin County.
In June 1950, it belonged to two or seven districts.
In September 1958, it belonged to beihezhuang and huanmadian commune.
In May 1961, it was divided into three communes: Hequ, Baihou and Lijiaying.
In January 1984, the commune was transformed into a township.
In December 1995, the former Baihou Township and Lijiaying Township were merged into Hequ township.
In 1999, Hequ township was changed into Hequ town.

Hequ town belongs to the alluvial plain of the Western fan margin, with high in the northwest and low in the southeast, which is a seasonal flood area. The highest point in Hequ town is 30.5 meters above sea level in beijincun, and the lowest point is 27.5 meters above sea level in dananli.

Hequ town belongs to Ziya River system; Beisha river is 9.5 km long from Beisu to chujiazhuang.

The main natural disasters in Hequ town are flood, hail and earthquake. A serious flood occurred in August 1963, with a surface water depth of 0.5-2 meters; in August 1996, the Beisha river overflowed, and the crops failed. A serious earthquake occurred on March 22, 1966, which damaged 11177 houses, killed 2 people and seriously injured 17 people.
