Xiugu town

Xiugu Town, subordinate to Jinxi County, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the middle of Jinxi County, bordering Huangtong Township in the East, zuofang town in the south, langju town in the west, Shizhen town and Shuangtang town in the northwest, and Lufang Township in the northeast. Xiugu town has 9 communities and 15 administrative villages. In late 2018, there were 75 thousand and 400 registered residence population in the town of Xiu Gu.

Xiugu Town, located at the intersection of national highway 206 and 316, is the political, economic and cultural center of Jinxi County. The total area of the town is 179 square kilometers, with 41100 mu of cultivated land, including 35600 mu of paddy field, 5569.76 mu of dry land and 56800 mu of forest land.

By the end of 2018, there were 421 industrial enterprises in xiugu Town, and 12 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

In 1958, Chengguan commune was established; in 1984, Chengguan commune was changed into xiugu town; in September 2001, Shancheng town was merged into xiugu town.

Xiugu town is located in the middle of Jinxi County, bordering Huangtong town in the East, zuofang town in the south, langju town in the west, Shizhen town and Shuangtang town in the northwest, and Lufang town in the northeast. The maximum distance between East and West is 9.8 km, and the maximum distance between North and south is 13 km, with a total area of 179 square kilometers.

Xiugu town is a hilly area, the terrain is high in the East and low in the west, high in the north and low in the south. The altitude is generally 200-300 meters.

hydrology

Xiugu town belongs to Xiaoqing River system. Gaofang reservoir irrigation area flows from the northeast of Wuli Village to Heshi town from the northeast to the west, with a channel length of 4.5 km; Majie reservoir irrigation area flows from dongcuiyunpai to zuofang town from the South and southwest, with a channel length of 6.4 km. Fengshou port flows into western lianle and Heyuan and into langju town.

Xiangshan Park is located in xiugu avenue of Jinxi County. It opened on June 3, 2007, covering an area of 236 mu, including 75 mu of water surface.
