Tangyin Town, belonging to Yihuang County, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the east of central Jiangxi Province, the southeast of Yihuang, and the middle reaches of Yishui River; it is connected with Nanyuan Township in the East, zhenkou Township in the south, Zhonggang town in the west, and Fenggang town in the North. With a total area of 179.5 square kilometers, the town governs 14 administrative villages, 123 villager groups and 1 community. In late 2018, the town of Tong Yin had 19 thousand and 800 registered residence population.
Tangyin town has convenient transportation. S213 provincial road passes through the town. The town government is 13 kilometers away from the county seat and 39 kilometers away from Changxia highway. Historical evolution
During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty (1573-1620), it was one of the trade centers in the south of the Yangtze River due to its prosperous commerce. At that time, Tangyin was called "Zhen".
During the reign of Qianlong and Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1736-1820), Tangyin had become the three most famous market towns for the production and management of summer cloth in the south of the Yangtze River.
In 1940, Tangyin was designated as an administrative town.
In 1958, Tangyin town was renamed Tangyin people's commune.
In 1985, the township system was restored in Tangyin.

Tangyin town is located on the wing of Wuyi Mountain, adjacent to GANFU PLAIN in the north, which is the transition terrain between mountain and plain. The terrain is high in the southeast and low in the northwest, surrounded by mountains in the southeast and West, with continuous peaks, low mountains and rolling hills in the north, and a small amount of alluvial plain between them. It belongs to the hilly area of middle and low mountains in Southeast Jiangxi, with hills accounting for 60% of the total area and low mountain area accounting for 40%. The highest altitude is 720 meters, and the lowest altitude is 90 meters. The soil is mainly red soil with thick soil layer, medium to heavy texture, high fertility and slightly acidic soil.

The origin of place names
Tangyin town took the meaning of "Gan Tang Mao Yin" and changed PI Ping to Tangyin, which was later renamed Tangyin.

Tangyin ancient architectural complex has a variety of architectural types, including ancestral hall, official residence, storefront, gatehouse, memorial archway, brick tower, corridor bridge, Road Pavilion, and nearly 100 dwellings, especially bafu Junci, yingenta, chengenfang, Luojia courtyard, and guanmaoting dwellings. The ancient buildings not only preserve the architectural style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, but also reflect the local historical, economic and cultural level of Tangyin town and the aesthetic taste of the builders. Known as "the epitome of the architectural history of Ming and Qing Dynasties" by domestic architectural scholars, it is a very precious material for the study of ancient Chinese brick and wood structure buildings, especially in southern China.
In October 2019, Tangyin ancient buildings were listed as the eighth batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council of the people's Republic of China.
Xiabu ancient guild hall was built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, located under the old government. The guild hall is more than 60 meters deep and 30 meters wide. There are three halls and two rooms in the museum. There were dozens of guest rooms, office rooms and warehouses for purchasing Shabu. At that time, the lower hall was the checkout.
Bafu Jun ancestral hall is a Ming Dynasty building, belonging to Wu family ancestral hall. There is a 40 square meter stage in the middle hall, and the pillars need to be hugged by more than two people. There are more than 200 square meters in the hall, 600 square meters of large patio in front and two square wells near the middle hall. There are long corridors on the left and right sides, with dozens of floor rooms. Both sides of the main hall enter through the small garden gate, and there are dozens of rooms. There are more than ten rooms in Qianmen, facing the ancient street.
Luojiazongci is a Ming and Qing architecture, with three halls, five patios and a garden.
Chengenfang is a Ming Dynasty building. It is the Qianmen square, the former residence of Wu Yuqing, one of the four great calligraphers in the Ming Dynasty. On the plaque, there are three big characters "chengenfang", which are vigorous and heavy, and are written by Wu Yuqing. Its structure is very peculiar and rare.
Xiuhualou was built in Ming and Qing Dynasties. There are 99 rooms in the whole house. In the decades after liberation, the original town government was set up here, which was also the main photography scene of Wang Fulin's play Tang Xianzu.
Yingen pagoda was built in 1628, the sixth year of Chongzhen in Ming Dynasty. Six sides and seven floors, brick and stone structure. The tower is more than 40 meters high and 8 meters in diameter. There are two spiral 588 steps on the inner wall of the tower leading to the top of the tower, which are divided into two doors. Visitors can enter the tower from left to right, and meet each other at different levels. Until the top floor, there is a crossbar in it, which can make the two passers-by reach each other. The structure is unique, and it is a county-level protected scenic spot.

Tangyin used to be one of the birthplaces of ancient Eastern Jiangxi culture, where the folk customs are simple, teachers are respected and education is valued, "taking advantage of the sunny day to pick up the leak, taking advantage of the youth to study", and the common people are "happy to read but good at diction", so there are numerous academies and talents. During the reign of Tang Tianyou, Hushan academy and Shanwan Academy were set up near Yangfang village. Mr. Du ziye, the enlightening mentor of Wang Anshi, the great writer of the Northern Song Dynasty, often wrote books here. Tang Xianzu's world-famous work "four dreams of Linchuan" was also famous for its debut in Tangyin. In addition, a large number of relics of the activities of the Red Army during the fourth anti encirclement and suppression campaign remain here, such as the battle command post of Zhu De and Lin Biao, the ruins of the Red Army University, and revolutionary slogans written by Red Army soldiers. The busiest day in Tangyin street is the "Chengen Lantern Festival" on January 15. There is a legend about the origin of Chengen Lantern Festival. During the Yongle reign of the Ming Dynasty, the capital was full of lanterns. Emperor Chengzu of the Ming Dynasty and the Minister of culture and military were drinking and watching lanterns on the palace floor, and poetry flourished. The emperor has a habit that his poems must be transcribed in Wu Yuqing's handwriting. When Wu Yuqing was called in, he looked sad. When the emperor asked him why he was worried, Wu Yuqing told him that he had lost his father since he was a child, but now his mother was sick and cold, so he was sad. The emperor was moved by Wu Yuqing's filial piety, and specially gave the palace lantern to Wu's mother. From then on, Tang Yin's Chengen lantern will become more and more popular. Every year on the 15th of the first lunar month, when there are lanterns, they also make "famous ministers of the Five Dynasties", "compilation ceremony", "cashier Wang Yan" and "local sages and officials" ”In memory of Wu Yuqing's merits and virtues.

Bijia mountain
Bijia mountain is located 7 kilometers to the east of Tangyin ancient town, near Wenjia mountain in the southeast of Tianxi village. There are three peaks juxtaposed, and the main peak in the middle is higher, forming a Bijia mountain.
Mao Zhusheng
Maozhusheng is located in the southwest of Tangyin ancient town, with east-west trend. The ridge is winding but not undulating, just like a straight line, with an altitude of 400 meters.
Diaoyutai
Diaoyutai is located at the foot of Guishan mountain. Formerly known as "Jiao Gong Han" (also known as Ta Xia Wan). It is located at the foot of the mountain and extends to the middle of the river. Several flat topped cliff stones are juxtaposed along the river bank, which looks like a platform with different heights and sizes. The desk stone pen stands at the bottom of the river, with a depth of several meters. It is green and has a wide range of fish. Most fishermen sit on the platform stone to fish, which has been called Diaoyutai in the past dynasties.
Xianshui Lane
Xianshui lane is located 13 kilometers to the east of Tangyin ancient town, about 1 mile away from the main stream of Tianxi village. There is a cliff gorge. The left and right cliffs are more than 70 meters high and relatively vertical, forming a water lane with a length of 60 meters and a width of about 1 meter. The whole stone is the bottom and the water depth is 0.4 meters.
