Township area of 83.33 square kilometers, jurisdiction of 10 administrative villages, 88 village groups. In late 2018, the population of Lai Xi Township had 19 thousand and 100 registered residence population.

History of construction

During the period of the Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of Laixi Township and qiawan township.

In the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to three districts (qiawan District); in 1961, Laixi commune was established; in 1966, Laixi commune was abolished; in 1977, Laixi commune was restored; in 1983, Laixi commune was changed into Laixi township.
