Qiuxi town
Qiuxi Town, subordinate to Linchuan District, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the west central part of Linchuan District, 14 kilometers away from Shangdundu Town, the seat of Linchuan District government. It borders Liancheng Township and Hebu Township in the East, Longxi town in the south, Hangbu town and Bailu Township in Chongren County in the west, and Shangdundu town in the north. With an area of 54 square kilometers, it governs 1 community, 12 administrative villages, 66 natural villages and 115 villager groups. In late 2018, there were 31 thousand registered residence population in the town of Qiu Xi.
Qiuxi town is a hilly area, most of which are red soil. It is suitable for the Yellow River to pass through the area, meandering northward, and Fu Ji Expressway to pass through the area.
The main grain crops in Qiuxi town are rice, and the main economic crops are rape and cotton. By the end of 2018, Qiuxi town had one industrial enterprise and four comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
During the period of the Republic of China, Qiuxi Township belonged to the Second District of Chongren county.
In the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, Qiuxi Township belonged to the Second District of Chongren County; in 1958, Qiuxi commune was established; in 1969, Qiuxi commune was assigned to Linchuan County; in August 1984, Qiuxi commune was renamed Qiuxi township; in June 1994, Qiuxi township was changed to Qiuxi town.
