In 1910, Shuijiang town belonged to Shuijiang township; in 1983, Shuijiang commune was transformed into Shuijiang town. History of construction
In the second year of Xuantong of the Qing Dynasty (1910), the territory belonged to Shuijiang township.
At the end of 1949, it belonged to the fourth district.
In April 1953, it was divided into small townships and set up Shuijiang town from Shuijiang township.
In December 1954, Shuijiang town was merged into Shuijiang township.
In October 1958, Shuijiang township was changed into Shuijiang commune.
