Jiantian Township, subordinate to Wan'an County, Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the southern mountain area of Wan'an county and the upstream of Wan'an Reservoir. Historical evolution
During the period of the Republic of China, Liangkou district was established.
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it became Jiantian township; in 1958, Jiantian commune was established; in 1968, Liangkou commune and Shunfeng commune were merged into Jiantian commune; in 1984, Jiantian commune was abolished and Jiantian township was established.

History and culture
There are Wanliang Pavilion and Sanhui temple in Liangkou. The old revolutionary relics are concentrated in Xiaodong and Liren mountain areas. There are 609 registered revolutionary martyrs in Jiantian township. Mao Zedong, Zhu De and other proletarian revolutionaries of the older generation have fought here. The original revolutionary sites such as the central bank and the rear hospital of the Red Army are still preserved.
Famous people
Zhong Hanhua (1909-1987), a native of Jiantian. He joined the Communist Youth League of China in 1926, and transferred to the Communist Party of China in the same year. In the autumn of 1931, he was a political member of the 187th regiment of the red 21 army. In July 1934, he served as the chief of the organization section of the Organization Department of the General Political Department of the Military Commission. In 1945, he was the director of the Political Department of the second column of the Shanxi Hebei Henan military region. In 1955, he was awarded the rank of lieutenant general and was awarded the second grade of 81 medal, the first grade of independence and freedom medal and the first grade of Liberation Medal. In 1988, he won the first-class Red Star Medal.
Huang Ronghai (1915-1996), a native of Jiantian. In March 1931, he joined the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army and was a soldier of the fifth independent division of the Red Army in the Central Soviet Area and the 22nd Red Army. In December of 1935, he transferred to the party. During the Anti Japanese War, he served as deputy director of the Political Department of the 115th division of the Eighth Route Army. In February 1938, he was the instructor of the security company of the 15th division, the organization officer and instructor of the secret service battalion. In February 1946, he served as the deputy commander of the 21st brigade of the 7th Division of the Northeast Democratic Alliance Army. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, he served as division commander of the 128th division of the 43rd army. He was awarded the rank of major general in September 1955. He won the August 1st medal at Level 3, the independent freedom medal at level 2 and the Liberation Medal at level 1. In July 1988, he was awarded the first level Red Star Medal of merit of the Chinese people's Liberation Army.
