Qinjiang town

Qinjiang Town, under the jurisdiction of Shicheng County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the middle of Shicheng County. It is the seat of Shicheng County Government. Jinan Guangzhou Expressway and national highway 206 run through the whole town. Ninghua Xingguo highway runs through the East and West. It is known as the "thoroughfare of Fujian and Guangdong". The area is 274.73 square kilometers, and the registered residence is about 103 thousand and 500 people (2018). It has 12 communities and 27 administrative villages (2019).

Qinjiang town is one of the birthplaces of Hakka culture, known as the cradle of Hakka. Qinjiang town is also the distribution center of Bailian and flue-cured tobacco in Shicheng County.

In 2018, there were 376 industrial enterprises in Qinjiang Town, including 40 Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size and 149 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

In the 25th year of the Republic of China (1936), the government office of Qinjiang town was established.

From the beginning of liberation to 1957, Qinjiang town belonged to Chengguan District.

In 1955, xiaobie township was established

In 1958, Qinjiang commune and xiaobie commune were established. Guanxiaxiang belongs to the southeast suburb and bakou commune.

In 1961, xiaobie commune was divided into shaduan commune and Changle commune.

In 1966, the commune of Qinjiang town was changed into Chengguan commune. Xiaobie commune was merged into Chengguan commune.

In 1968, guanxiaxiang was incorporated into Chengguan commune

In 1975, the prosperous guanxia commune and the second brigade of Xiwai were assigned to Qinjiang town.

In 1984, xiaobie commune was transformed into xiaobie township.

In 1998, xiaobie township was renamed Changtian township.

In 1997, Qinjiang town had jurisdiction over the first, second, third and fourth neighborhood committees and two administrative villages, Xiwai and Xinglong. The town government was stationed in TIYU road. Guanxia Township governs 20 administrative villages, including Guzhang, Huxia, Qinkou, bakou, Mianfang, Mufu, hekeng, Yifu, shaduan, Shanbai, Xianyuan, Meifu, Wenfang, zhuokeng, hankeng, Dayu, Huayuan, Qianjiang, Jiangbei and Jianshang. The township government is stationed in guanxia. Xiaobie Township governs 7 administrative villages: Changle, Dayuan, Xiazhu, Tongping, Changtian, xiaobie and Qiufang, and the township government is stationed in taipinggang.

In 2019, Qinjiang town governs 12 communities and 27 administrative villages: Qinjiang community, Dongcheng community, Chengnan community, Liancheng community, Chengbei community, kuotou street community, Huaping community, Guihua community, Jinhua community, Dongnan community, qiqiling community, Tongluowan community, Xinglong Village, Xiwai village, Meifu village, Xianyuan village, Wenfang Village, Jianshang village, Qianjiang village, Jiangbei Village and Dahu village Village, Huayuan village, Guzhang village, zhuokeng village, hankeng village, Shanbai village, Shayu village, Mufu village, bakou village, Huxia village, Qinkou village, Mianfang village, hekeng village, Yifu village, xiaobie village, Changle Village, Changtian village, Tongping village and Qiufang village. Qinjiang town is located in the middle of Shicheng County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, adjacent to Hekou and Ji villages in Ninghua County, Fujian Province in the East, Tianbu Township in Ningdu County in the west, Pingshan Town and Zhukeng Township in the south, Fengshan Township and Luoyuan village in Xiaosong town in the north. Qinjiang town is a mountainous town in the East and West, with rolling hills in the middle. It goes south along both sides of Qinjiang River, with low and flat terrain. The highest point is Donghua mountain, the main peak is 1148.9 meters above sea level, and the lowest point is panguifang in Xianyuan, 224.8 meters above sea level.

Transportation

There is Jinan Guangzhou Expressway in Qinjiang town. National Highway 206 runs through the whole town. Ninghua Xingguo highway runs from east to west. All the township roads from Qinjiang town to Shicheng County have been hardened.

Hakka culture

Qinjiang town is the birthplace of Hakka culture, known as the cradle of Hakka. Since ancient times, Qinjiang town has a wonderful landscape of "tower shadow in the middle of the river, Qinquan elegant play". There are well preserved Jiangnan pagodas and ancient city walls in Song Dynasty, cliff inscriptions in wulongyan, Danxia Landform Scenic Spot in tongtianzhai, Buddhist resorts such as Mount Rizhao temple, Hongtian Fugui prison of the young king of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, Guihua house and Hakka residential groups in Sha section, ancient battlefield of shimazhai, and "thoroughfare of Fujian and Guangdong" Plank road and other cultural landscape. As the "hometown of Chinese lanterns", Shicheng lantern is a national intangible cultural heritage, with more than 100 kinds of tea basket lamp, dragon lamp, boat lamp, carp lamp and simulated animal and plant lamp.

Nanlu house

Nanlu house, also known as huangjiawu, is a Hakka family house. It was built from 1736 to 1796. It was built by Huang Shengyuan, a wealthy businessman in Shicheng during the reign of Qianlong in Qing Dynasty. It is still well preserved. This house is a typical Hakka courtyard style brick and wood structure building, with five entrance hall and two-story structure. There are ninety-nine and a half rooms in the whole house, which are connected with each other, and the corridors are connected with each other. Nanlu house covers an area of about 13320 square meters, with a floor area of 3866.71 square meters and a construction area of 6283.1 square meters. The whole house has five entrances and five exits. The main hall in the middle is particularly wide, which can accommodate more than 100 banquets. There are 21 large and small patios in the house, and the wells and pools are connected by underground channels. In 2006, the nanluwu Hakka ancient residential complex in Shicheng County was comprehensively renovated, and in 2019, the internal renovation was carried out again.

Jiangxi Shicheng National Geopark

Founded in 2010, Jiangxi Shicheng National Geopark is about 7 kilometers away from Shicheng County, covering an area of 20.39 square kilometers. It is divided into three core scenic spots: tongtianzhai scenic spot, shimazhai scenic spot and Jiuzhai hot spring scenic spot, and two ecological protection zones: Shibei ecological protection zone and Yunling ecological protection zone. It is famous for Danxia landform. There are rare and abundant Danxia geological relics in the park. It is one of the three major cracked convex hull Danxia landform areas in China. In the park, the sun of the earth, the Yin of the earth, immortal ploughing, thousand Buddha Danxia, shimazhai stone wall and other Danxia landscapes are rare in China. The Danxia landform of the park and the formation process of hot springs around the park are typical examples of the evolution history of the earth since Cretaceous in Wuyishan area and even in Southeast China.

Jiangxi Shicheng National Geopark is the national geological science popularization education base, the teaching practice and scientific research base of Donghua University of technology and Jiangxi Vocational College of applied technology, and the geological heritage protection and utilization base of Jiangxi Institute of geological survey.

Local specialties
