Dongshao Township
Dongshao Township, belonging to Ningdu County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the northwest of Ningdu County, adjacent to Xiaotian Township in the East, Luokou town in the south, Yongfeng County in the West and Le'an County in the north. Dongshao township is 60 kilometers away from Ningdu County, with a total area of 268 square kilometers, including 280000 mu of woodland and 28000 mu of cultivated land. In late 2018, the registered residence population in Dong Shao township was 21 thousand and 500. By the end of 2019, Dongshao township has 1 community and 11 administrative villages.

Historical evolution
In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to Qingtai township.
During the period of the Republic of China (1912-1949), it was Dongshao township.
At the beginning of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to the Sixth District (Luokou District); in July 1950, Tianying, linchi, Nantuan, Yongle Township and Dongshao, Zhangguan Township belonged to the Sixth District (Luokou District) and the Tenth District (Wucun District); in June 1956, the scale of districts and townships was adjusted, and Dongshao, linchi, Zhangguan Township belonged to Luokou district; in October 1958, districts and townships were withdrawn and merged, and Dongshao, Zhangguan, Nantuan Township belonged to linchi reclamation farm; in 1961, the scale of districts and townships was adjusted In November 1963, Dongshao and Zhangguan communes were established, which were still under the jurisdiction of linchi reclamation farm; in March 1963, when the district was withdrawn and merged, Dongshao and Zhangguan communes were under the jurisdiction of the county; in 1967, Dongshao was changed into a brigade, which was under the jurisdiction of linchi reclamation farm; in October 1968, Dongshao was restored, which was under the jurisdiction of the county; in June 1984, it was renamed Dongshao township.

The terrain in the West and north of Dongshao township is relatively high, with an altitude of about 1000 meters, and it is obviously inclined to the East. In the southeast, there are dense water networks and hills. Mountains account for about two-thirds of the territory, and hills account for about one-third. The highest peak is Lingyun mountain, 1454.9 meters above sea level, which is the highest mountain in Ningdu County; the lowest point is tusubcutaneous village in Yongle, 240 meters above sea level.

hydrology
Linchi River (formerly known as shangxijiang River) originates from Lingyun mountain. It is the main river in Dongshao township. It flows through the area for 28 kilometers and joins Xiaotian River and Luokou Township into Meijiang river.

History and culture
Dongshao township is one of the old revolutionary bases. In January 1930, Chairman Mao went from Fujian to Jiangxi and led the General Front Committee of the Fourth Red Army to Yuzi street in Dongshao to study and deploy the tasks of the Fourth Red Army after it entered Jiangxi. The General Front Committee of the first front army of the Red Army was established in shuijiaobei of the southern regiment. Maposheng, Longtan, was the site of the first anti encirclement and suppression battle in the central revolutionary base area. Chairman Mao personally directed the Red Army to attack the enemy Tan Daoyuan division and won a great victory.
The former residence of Chairman Mao in Yuzi street is listed as a county-level revolutionary cultural relics protection unit.

Lingyun mountain, located in Dongshao township of Ningdu County, with an altitude of 1454.9 meters, is the boundary of Ningdu County, Yongfeng county and Le'an county. It belongs to Yushan Mountain range and is the first peak of Ningdu county. The peak is square, so it is named "Pingshan". In Tang Dynasty, it was renamed "Lingyun mountain". The mountain peak is composed of granite body, and there are many canyons among the mountains. There are niuguzhang, tianmenzhang, yagudong, hanpadong, zhusongling, lumufeng, wangnigang and other peaks more than 1000 meters in the region.
