Zhantian Township
Zhantian Township, subordinate to Ningdu County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the northeast corner of Ningdu county. It is adjacent to Guangchang county in the East, Huitong Township in the west, Shicheng County in the South and Shishang town in the north, covering an area of 189.1 square kilometers. It governs 9 administrative villages, 1 community and 111 village groups. At the end of 2018, zhantian Township had a registered residence population of 17 thousand and 600.
Zhantian farmers mainly grow white lotus, Ponkan, navel orange and high-quality rice. By the end of 2018, zhantian Township had 13 industrial enterprises and 6 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to Anfu township.
On the eve of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belongs to Dongjiang township.
In September 1949, it belonged to the fourth district; in July 1950, five townships were established, among which zhantian, Jifu and Licun townships belonged to the fourth district (Huitong District), lijiafang and Xintian townships belonged to the Fifth District (Shishang District); in June 1956, they were merged into Jifu, Licun and Xintian townships, which belonged to Huitong district; in 1957, Huitong district was abolished and changed to Shishang district; in October 1958, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged to form a commune, which belonged to Huitong Township Gaofeng In November 1961, Xintian commune and zhantian commune were established, which belong to suburban areas; in June 1962, Xintian commune was merged into zhantian commune; in March 1963, the district was withdrawn and the commune was still zhantian commune, which is under the jurisdiction of the county; in October 1968, zhantian commune was merged into Huitong commune; in December 1968, Huitong commune was renamed zhantian commune (stationed in Huitong Wei); in October 1972, zhantian commune was merged into Huitong commune, Zhantian commune is divided into zhantian commune and Huitong commune.
In June 1984, zhantian commune was changed into zhantian township.

By the end of 2019, zhantian village has one community and nine administrative villages: Limin community, zhantian village, Jifu village, Lichun village, Changle Village, dafuzu village, aoxia village, Jingyuan village, Xintian village and lijiafang village.

Zhantian township is located in the northeast corner of Ningdu County, adjacent to Guangchang county in the East, Huitong Township in the west, Shicheng County in the South and Shishang town in the north. The township covers an area of 189.1 square kilometers.
topographic features
Zhantian Township terrain, the middle of the hilly undulating along the two sides of the river, East and North surrounded by low mountains, inclined to the West. Hilly land accounts for about one-third of the total, and mountainous land accounts for two-thirds. The highest point is Linghua mountain in the southeast, with an altitude of 991 meters. The lowest point is Longxu village in Changle, with an altitude of 200 meters.
