Jibu town
Jibu town is located in the northeast of Ganxian District, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province. It is adjacent to Jiangkou Town in the south, Nantang town in the north, Yudu County in the East and Shiyuan Township in the West. Jibu town has 14 administrative villages, 1 communities and 149 villagers' groups. The total land area is 127 square kilometers, and the registered residence population is 36 thousand and 500 in 2018.
Beijing Kowloon Railway, Ganlong railway and Jiangxing highway cross the border. The Xinggan Expressway under construction is connected with Jiantian village in the town. After the expressway is opened, it is only 20 minutes' drive from Ganzhou City. The North Ganxian station of Changji Ganxian high speed railway is located in Jibu town.

Historical evolution
Before liberation, it was a part of Jianjie Township, Jiangkou Township and Qingxi township; at the beginning of liberation, it was Jibu district.
In 1958, the upstream people's commune was established (later called Jibu people's commune); in 1961, it was divided into Jibu and Jianjie people's communes; in 1964, the two communes merged into Jibu people's commune; in 1984, it was changed into Jibu township; in 1995, it was withdrawn from the township to build a town.
