Sushan Township

Sushan township is a township under the jurisdiction of Duchang County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province. Located in the northwest of Duchang County, it borders on Chunqiao Township, xubu Town, wangdun Township, etc. It got its name from the mountain.

Sushan township was formally established in 1984. It now has 11 administrative villages and 1 neighborhood committee, including Ma'an, Xugang, Lanye and Longquan. Historical evolution

The township is named after su mountain. Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belongs to Yuanchen township of Huanshan district. At the beginning of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to the second district. In 1957, it became a Sushan reclamation farm. In 1958, it was changed into two communes, Sushan commune and Qianshan commune. In 1968, it was merged into Sushan commune. In 1984, it was changed into a township.
