Wupi town is a town under the jurisdiction of Anyuan District, Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province. Located between Xiushan and Lishui in the southern suburb of Pingxiang City, it covers an area of 19.03 square kilometers and has a population of about 30000 by 2014. It has jurisdiction over three neighborhood committees including Xinjie, Shimen and wangkeng, four administrative villages including Wupi, Celei, Changtan and Datian, and three branches of red flag, horticulture and forestry. The town government is located in Hongqi branch, 5 kilometers away from the district government. Wupixiahe river flows from east to middle. National Highway 319 passes through. Historical evolution

It is named after Wupi. In 1958, it belonged to Anyuan commune. In 1966, it set up state-owned wupixia reclamation farm. In 1984, it was changed to wupixia village. In 1994, it was renamed Wupi town. In 1997, it covers an area of 24.6 square kilometers and has a population of 16000. It governs five administrative villages of Wupi, Celei, Changtan, Datian and Wuyuan, and three neighborhood committees of wangkeng, Xinjie and Shimen. The town government is located in the red flag branch of Wupi Town, 5 kilometers away from the District government. In 2014, it covers an area of 26 square kilometers and has a population of 30000.

economic construction

（1） The town economy grew steadily.

In 2011, the total revenue of the town was 162.6 million yuan, accounting for 123% of the plan at the beginning of the year, an increase of 55.05 million yuan or 51% over the previous year.
