Yacheng town

Yacheng town is located in the northeast of Xiapu County, 21.9 kilometers away from the county. It has jurisdiction over one community and 25 administrative villages. Provincial Road Sha (Lu) Xiao (PU) section transit.

Historical evolution

Yacheng, also known as Fengcheng. In the Tang and Song Dynasties, it was zhuoxiuli, a town of persuading Confucianism. From the Yuan Dynasty to the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, the territory was divided into four capitals, five capitals, six capitals and seven capitals. From the first year of Xuantong in the Qing Dynasty to the middle of the Republic of China, most of the territory belongs to the Upper East (Western) region, and some areas such as niulangang, tiantouyang, Hongtu belong to the Middle East (Qinghao) region. In the 25th year of the Republic of China, Fengmei Maoling yangbao, pheasant Fenggui Dudou and houlongtian zuoyang were established, which were under the jurisdiction of the Second District, 19 Baobao and 197a. It has jurisdiction over 16 protections, including Dahu, Shouyang, Meihua, Qitou, Fengdong, Wuqi, Dongling, Fengxi, Wenyang, Houyang, aoling, Fengtu, Doumen, Zhixi, Guishan and Dutou. The seven guarantees of Houshan Lianbao were incorporated into Wuping township. In the 32 years of the Republic of China, Fengcheng town was merged into Sansha town. In the early 1950s, there were eight townships in Fengyang, Houshan, Wenhou, Fengqi, Yacheng, Meihua, Chixi and Longting, belonging to the fourth district. In February 1956, the fourth district was renamed Yacheng District, which governs eight townships, namely Yacheng, Meihua, Wenhou, Fengyang, Houshan, Chixi, Longting and shuimen.

In 1958, Yacheng district was abolished and Yacheng people's commune was established. In 1959, Yacheng, Meihua, donglingtou, Wenhou, aoling, yatenggang, Houyang, Houshan, Zaoling, dongjiejie, Longting, yangjiaxi, Yangbian, Dutou, Chixi, Fengmen, Fengyang and Hongshan were under the jurisdiction of 18 brigades. In May 1961, Yacheng commune was restored to Yacheng District, with 8 communes, 48 production teams and 239 production teams under its jurisdiction. In October 1966, Yacheng district was changed into Yacheng commune. In 1984, Yacheng commune was renamed Yacheng Town, which has jurisdiction over 25 administrative villages and 1 street.

In 1990, Yacheng town was located in the northeast of the county, adjacent to Fuding County in the north and northeast, Yacheng Bay in the southeast, shuimen Township in the West and Sansha town in the south, with an administrative area of 108.9 square kilometers. Yacheng Tianhou Palace

Yacheng Tianhou palace is located in Yacheng street, Yacheng Town, Xiapu County. It was built in 1586, Wanli of the Ming Dynasty, and rebuilt in Xianfeng of the Qing Dynasty. The palace has a building area of 198 square meters in the Qing Dynasty. It is a rectangular courtyard with two entrances and a wooden structure hanging on the top of the mountain. Flowers and animals are carved on the top of the porch, especially on the shrine. The shrine is exquisitely carved and painted with gold. There are two inscriptions on the Tianjing, one of which is "made on the auspicious day of Liyue in bingxu of Wanli of the Ming Dynasty" and the other is "Dingji in Xianfeng of the Qing Dynasty" It was rebuilt in 2000.

The building of the palace retains the structure of the Qing Dynasty. It is 15 meters high, 11.9 meters wide, 34.8 meters deep and 498.8 square meters in construction area. It is a rectangular brick and wood structure on the top of a hard mountain. It is divided into the front wall, palace gate, stage, ring tower, patio, cloister, palace hall, shrine and other parts along the east-west axis.

There are two stone inscriptions in the courtyard, one of which is engraved with "made on the auspicious day of Liyue in the year of bingxu in Wanli of the Ming Dynasty"; the other is engraved with "built by Wang, Ma and Zhang muyuan". The gallery edge of the palace hall is a roll shed roof structure, with beams and column heads, brackets, porch columns, ceiling boards, caisson, dragon, unicorn, lion, squirrel, flowers and other patterns painted in gold, elegant and simple.

The original stage in front of the palace is octagonal, with Floating Dragon carving on the edge. On the stage is a three-story arched caisson, and the waist wall of the ring column is also painted with various figures, flowers and birds. There is a pair of flagpole clips more than 10 meters high in front of the palace. During the festival, the centipede flag of apricot "goddess of heaven" is hung high on the top of the flagpole. Under the flag, lanterns are hung opposite to the wall. The cornice of the whole building is tilted, which is quite imposing.

Unfortunately, after the founding of the people's Republic of China, the stage in front of the palace was used as a processing plant by the production team, and its original appearance was changed. In 1989, in order to promote Mazu culture and protect historical relics and historic sites, the Yacheng town old people's Association raised more than 30000 yuan and redeemed it from the production team. It planned to restore it according to the old form. However, due to the huge investment and insufficient funds, it failed to achieve its goal.

There are more than 50 statues of Mazu in the main hall of Tianhou palace. They are arranged according to the old blueprint. They are the "goddess of heaven" in the front of the shrine, the "goddess of heaven" (Chen Jinggu) on the left and the "goddess of heaven" (MA xianniang) on the right. On the left and right sides, there are the statues of Xianggong luma, Marshal Ye, Zhengshen Fude, Granny Dou and granny Dou. In front of the offering table, there were three servants who were called by Mazu.

In the left and right wing of the center, there are thirty-six old ladies and sisters, each 60 cm high, with different looks, plump and dignified. There are eight generals in front of the box, more than 2 meters high, including General Huang, General Yang, Sea Patrol
