Xiaojiafang town is located in the south foot of Wuyi Mountains, in the southwest of Shaowu City, 46 kilometers away from the urban area. It borders Longhu town and Shangqing Township in Taining County in the southeast, Guilin Township and Heping Town in the northwest, with a total area of 105.49 square kilometers. In March 1996, it was withdrawn from the township and built into a town, with jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages and 102 villager groups.
