Mangdang town
Mangdang town got its name from "boundless cloud in the sea, Dangdang Valley in the wind". In August 2002, it was merged and established by Dayang township of maodi town. The government was stationed in maodi village. In May 2003, Anfeng village of Huangdun street was assigned to Mangdang town. In August, the government was relocated to Anfeng village.
Mangdang town is located in the north of Yanping District, 118 degrees 04-118 degrees 16 minutes east longitude and 26 degrees 46-26 degrees 57 minutes north latitude. It borders Jian'ou city in the north, Daheng city in the East, Huangdun, Ziyun, Sihe city in the south, Xiqin, Laizhou, Wangtai and Xiayang city in the West. Anfeng village, where the town government is stationed, is 8 kilometers away from Nanping City, 184 highway from Fuzhou, and 149 highway from Wuyishan.
In 2017, the administrative area was 20773 hectares, with 13891 permanent residents.
Historical evolution
Maodi Town, Ming Hongwu first year (1368) belong to meiqixi, meiqinanli, Qing Shunzhi 14th year (1657) belong to meisili, meinanli. In the 23 years of the Republic of China, it belonged to the second district. In the 30 years of the Republic of China, it was divided into two townships, maodi and Baozhu. In the 32 years of the Republic of China, it was called Baomao township. In 1949, it belonged to the Sixth District. In 1950, maodi and Baozhu were set up respectively. In 1952, it belonged to the 11th district. In 1958, it belonged to the green treasury people's commune. In 1961, it was established as maodi commune. In 1984, it was renamed maodi township. In 1992, it was established as a town. Dayang Township, Ming and Qing Dynasty belongs to xinxingli, known as Dayang village. In the 23 years of the Republic of China, it belonged to the Second District, called Dayang township. In the 35th year of the Republic of China, it belonged to Daxi township.
In 1949, it belonged to the seventh district, in 1952 it belonged to the eleventh District, in 1956 it belonged to Xiayang District, in 1958 it belonged to Hongzhuan people's commune, and in 1961 it was separated from Xiayang commune and established Dayang people's commune. In 1984, the township was changed. In September 2002, maodi town and Dayang Township were abolished and Mangdang town was established. The government was stationed in maodi village. In May 2003, Anfeng village of Huangdun street was transferred to Mangdang town. In August, the government was relocated from maodi village to Anfeng village.

Folklore
There is an ancient corridor bridge at the end of Shangji village in Mangdang town. It was built in the third year of Chunxi (1177) of Song Dynasty, and then in the year of Dingyou. In Song Dynasty, Shangji village was called Fusha village. It was a famous market village with 800 households and outstanding people. The stone arch bridge at cunshuiwei is called Fusha bridge. It was initially built as a corridor bridge, with a length of about 30 meters and a width of about 6 meters. It is a single hole stone bridge. There is a bridge pavilion connected with the temple.
