Jiaomei town
Jiaomei town (formerly belonging to Longxi County, Haicheng county and Tongan County of Zhangzhou prefecture) is located in the east of Zhangzhou city. It is an important part of the central urban area of Zhangzhou. Its administrative division belongs to Longhai District, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province. It is under the jurisdiction of Zhangzhou Taiwan investment zone. It is under the separate management of Zhangzhou municipal government. It is an important window for Zhangzhou to connect with Taiwan, special economic zone and free trade zone Chaoyang Street, Lantian street and Guokeng town of Longwen District, Wuan town of Changtai District in the north, Bangshan town and Zini town of Longhai District in the south, and Haicang street and Dongfu street of Haicang District of Xiamen City in the East are the key hometown of overseas Chinese in Zhangzhou city.
In 2017, the administrative area was 15098 hectares, with a permanent population of 166485. In 2017, the GDP of jiaomei town was 26.5 billion yuan.
On October 8, 2018, jiaomei town was selected as one of the top 1000 towns with comprehensive strength in China in 2018. On September 11, 2019, jiaomei town was selected into the "top 100 comprehensive competitiveness of Chinese towns in 2018".

Evolution of organizational system
Today, jiaomei town belongs to Minzhong County in the Qin Dynasty; Kuaiji County in the first year of Yuanfeng (110 BC) in the Han Dynasty, Houguan County in Kuaiji County in the early years of Jian'an; Dong'an County in Yangzhou in the third year of Yongan in the Three Kingdoms (260 BC); Jin'an County in the third year of Taikang in the Jin Dynasty (282 BC). In 540, the sixth year of emperor Liangwu of the Southern Dynasty, Longxi County was set up, which was subordinate to Nan'an county and belonged to Longxi County. Sui Daye three years (607) belong to Jian'an County Longxi County. Tang Wude five years (622 years) belong to Fengzhou (Governance in Nan'an) Longxi County; Zhenyuan early abandoned Fengzhou into Quanzhou (Governance in today's Fuzhou); Sisheng first year (684 years) analysis of Quanzhou Putian, Nan'an, Longxi home wurongzhou (Governance in Nan'an), the situation belongs to wurongzhou Longxi County.
In the second year of Tang Dynasty (686), Zhangzhou was located in the south of Longxi County. At that time, the situation still belonged to Longxi County of Wurong Prefecture; in 711, Jingyun changed Wurong prefecture to Quanzhou (governing Jinjiang), and the situation belonged to Longxi County of Quanzhou; in 741, Kaiyuan cut Quanzhou, Longxi County belonged to Zhangzhou, and the situation belonged to Longxi County of Zhangzhou; in 742, Tianbao changed Zhangzhou to Zhangpu County, and the situation still belonged to Longxi County; in 759, Qianyuan changed Zhangpu County to Zhangzhou; in 759, Zhangpu County was renamed Zhangzhou In the second year of the Yuan Dynasty (786), Zhangzhou government moved to Guilin village, fenggaoshan, Longxi County (now Xiangcheng District), and Longxi County became Fukuo county.
In 946, Zhangzhou was renamed as Nanzhou, belonging to Longxi County.
In the fourth year of Qiande of Song Dynasty (966), Nanzhou was renamed Zhangzhou, which belonged to Longxi County of Zhangzhou.
In 1279, Zhangzhou was changed into Zhangzhou Road, belonging to Longxi County of Zhangzhou road.
In 1368, the first year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty, Zhangzhou road was changed into Zhangzhou Prefecture, which belonged to Longxi County of Zhangzhou Prefecture; in Qing Dynasty, it still belonged to Longxi County of Zhangzhou Prefecture.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Zhangzhou Prefecture was changed to xiludao of Fujian Province, which belonged to Longxi County and belonged to the third district of Longxi County; in the third year of the Republic of China, xiludao was changed to tingzhang road; in the fourteenth year, the road was abandoned and Longxi County belonged to Fujian Province; in the twenty second year, Longxi County belonged to Longting province; in July of the Republic of China, Longxi County belonged to the sixth Office of administrative inspector; in October of the next year, the sixth office was changed to the fifth Office of administrative inspector, which belonged to Longxi County The third district of the county.
In the 26th year of the Republic of China, it was still Longxi County, the fifth administrative supervision office.
On September 19, 1949, Longxi County was liberated; on September 20, Longxi County was liberated. The situation belongs to Longxi County People's Committee of the military control commission of the Chinese people's Liberation Army; in October, Longxi belongs to the sixth Office of the administrative inspector general of Fujian Province, and the situation still belongs to Longxi County.
On April 1, 1950, it belonged to Longxi County of Zhangzhou administrative inspector general's office; in October, it belonged to the third district of Longxi County of Longxi regional Commissioner's office of Fujian Provincial People's government. In 1956, it was located in Puwei District of Longxi County; in 1958, it was withdrawn from the district and merged with the township, and jiaomei town was located in Dongmei Township, Hongjian Township, Shimei Township and jiaomei township; in September of the same year, the township system was abolished and rocket people's commune was established, which was located in rocket people's commune of Longxi County. In March 1959, rocket people's commune was renamed jiaomei people's commune.
On August 15, 1960, the State Council approved the merger of Longxi and Haicheng into Longhai County, which belongs to jiaomei people's commune.
In June 1967, it belonged to the military control committee of Longhai County, Longxi district; in April 1968, it established the Revolutionary Committee of jiaomei people's commune, which was subordinate to the Revolutionary Committee of Longhai county.
In October 1980, the Revolutionary Committee of Longhai county was changed into the people's Government of Longhai County; in December 1980, the Revolutionary Committee of jiaomei people's commune was changed into the Management Committee of jiaomei people's commune. In October 1984, the Management Committee of jiaomei people's commune was changed to the people's Government of jiaomei town. In June 1985, Longxi district was changed into Zhangzhou City, and Longhai County People's Government of Zhangzhou city was under the jurisdiction of jiaomei.
In May 1993, Longhai county was removed from the county and built into a city. Jiaomei belonged to the people's Government of Longhai City.
In April 1998, it was named "Zhangzhou Taiwan business investment zone" by Zhangzhou municipal government; in 2003, Zhangzhou city started the application work of National Taiwan business investment zone; in July 2009, the Sixth Plenary Session of the eighth Fujian provincial Party committee approved the implementation opinions of Fujian Province on the implementation of "several opinions of the State Council on Supporting Fujian to speed up the construction of the Economic Zone on the west side of the Straits", supporting the establishment of Zhangzhou Taiwan business investment zone;
In September 2009, Zhangzhou municipal government submitted to the provincial government the request for the establishment of Zhangzhou Taiwan investment zone; in October 2009, Fujian provincial government submitted to the State Council the request for the establishment of Zhangzhou Taiwan investment zone;
In December 2010, the Ministry of Commerce reported to the State Council by SZF [2010] No. 507, proposing the establishment of Zhangzhou Taiwan investment zone; in June 2011, Fujian provincial Party committee and provincial government approved the establishment of Zhangzhou Taiwan Investment Zone Management Committee;
In July 2011, Zhangzhou municipal Party committee approved the establishment of the Party Working Committee of Zhangzhou Taiwan business investment zone; in August, Zhangzhou Taiwan business investment zone was established, under the separate management of Zhangzhou Municipal People's government.
In January 2012, the State Council approved the establishment of a National Taiwan investment zone in Zhangzhou. Jiaomei town is under the jurisdiction of Zhangzhou Taiwan investment zone.
On February 3, 2021, Longhai City at the county level will be abolished and Longhai District of Zhangzhou city will be established. Jiaomei town is under the jurisdiction of Zhangzhou Taiwan investment district and its administrative division is Longhai District of Zhangzhou city.

Jiaomei town historically consists of jiaomei, Shimei and Dongmei. Jiaomei is composed of Tongan street, mianbed street, Shetou village, Qiaotou village, Jinzhai village, Hongjian village, Jinshan Village and Baijiao village. It has long belonged to Tongan County, Quanzhou Prefecture. Shimei consists of all streets except Tongan street and mianbed street, Shimei block, Shimei village, Nanmen village and Daitou village Dongshan village, shaban village, xibian village, Xiashi village, shicuo village, Tianli village, Longtian village, Longjiang village, Putuo village, hongdai village, Shangfang village, yangcuo village, Puwei village, Caidian village, Fujing village, Cangban farm, and neiding farm. They belong to Longxi County of Zhangzhou Prefecture in history. Except Gonghe street in jiaomei town belongs to Haicheng County of Zhangzhou Prefecture, Dongmei consists of Dongmei block and Dongmei village Yujiang village, Liuhuan village, Hengcang village, Wuzhai village, Banmei village, Xuexue village, Shazhou village and Jiangdong farm, which historically belonged to Longxi County of Zhangzhou Prefecture.

Jiaomei town is located in the connecting point of Xiamen Zhangzhou city alliance. It has been identified as one of the 21 pilot towns of comprehensive reform and construction of small towns by the provincial government. It is also a national economic and Technological Development Zone, a national pilot unit of small town comprehensive reform, a small town construction demonstration town and a key town.
Jiaomei, also known as Jiaowei, is one of the ancient towns in Southern Fujian, with a strong GDP. It has won national civilized villages and towns for five consecutive times.
