Guokeng town

Guokeng Town, subordinate to Longwen District, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, is located in the north of Longwen district. It has seven administrative villages, one town run farm and three neighborhood committees. It is an industrial satellite town approved by the provincial government and a star town in Zhangzhou city. Yingxia railway and Zhangzhou Changtai highway transit here.

In 2017, the administrative area was 3503 hectares, with a permanent population of 17550.

On June 29, 2020, it will be included in the list of provincial rural governance demonstration towns.

General situation

Guokeng town is located in the northwest of Longwen District, on the North Bank of the lower reaches of Beixi river of Jiulong River. It has jurisdiction over 7 administrative villages, 2 community neighborhood committees and 1 town run farm. Yingxia railway, Zhangzhou Changtai highway transit.

Guokeng town is one of the pilot towns approved by the provincial government for the comprehensive reform of industrial satellite towns and Zhangzhou municipal small towns. The town is located in the north of the jurisdiction, bordering jiaomei town in the East, Punan town in Xiangcheng District in the west, Chaoyang town across Beixi in the South and Wu'an town in Changtai County in the north. The transportation is well developed. The provincial highway, suburban BAIXIAN line, runs through the whole town. The waterway can go straight to Xiamen. Yingxia railway runs through the whole town. Zhangzhou east railway station is located in the town. It is the passenger and freight transportation hub of Southern Fujian and southern Guangdong. Guokeng town has two neighborhood committees of Xinjie and railway, and seven village committees of Luobin, Fuyao, Huangqing, YuanHou, Guokeng, Xipu and koushe.

In December 2018, the people's Government of Longwen District of Zhangzhou city received the request for instructions on "withdrawing villages and establishing residences" in Guokeng Village (Zhanglong Guozheng [2018] No. 186). After the study of the 21st executive meeting of the district government in 2018, it was agreed to cancel Guokeng village committee and establish Guokeng community residents committee.

Industry

Guokeng industrial concentration area is an industrial development platform. As of August 2011, it has developed an area of more than 800 mu, introduced 20 enterprises such as mingxinhang pipe pile, and three industrial projects with an investment of 5 million yuan are under construction, including Sanmin industry and trade and Dexing industry and trade. The town has 17 large-scale industrial enterprises.

Modern logistics industry

Relying on resources such as railway special line, triangle line behind the hospital and freight yard of railway station, actively promote the development of freight, transit and warehousing logistics industry, and form a commercial city in front of Zhangzhou east railway station. As of August 2011, Yongda metal logistics project is doing preliminary work.

Leisure tourism

Actively planning and promoting Huangqing underground hot spring development, beach bathing, Yaoshan scenic spot (Fuyao Guandi Temple), Dongxi eco-tourism and other projects, vigorously developing ecological leisure, agricultural tourism, cultural tourism industry. At the same time, the town has introduced a new China Resources wind power development project with a total investment of 200 million US dollars, and has carried out the construction of wind measuring tower, which will greatly promote the tourism development of the town while generating wind power in the future.

Agriculture

Guokeng town pays more attention to land development and consolidation, speeds up the construction of modern characteristic agricultural bases such as Xipu, Huangkeng, Luobin and Fuyao, and focuses on the development of characteristic agriculture such as vegetables, flowers, famous fruits and edible fungi.

The town has 9100 mu of arable land, 4400 mu of garden land, 16000 mu of woodland, is the main agricultural production base in our district. The land consolidation of Xipu village in Guokeng town is mainly to expand the scale of land management and build a high-quality vegetable planting base with a certain scale. The expected output income can reach 6000-8000 yuan / mu. The total area of the project is 396 mu, mainly composed of land leveling, farmland water conservancy, field roads and other projects. Through land consolidation, 39.41 mu of arable land can be added, with an estimated total investment of 848300 yuan. After completion, it will effectively promote the transfer of rural surplus labor force to the secondary and tertiary industries, and increase the income of Xipu village farmers by 1.8 million yuan every year. The project is expected to be completed by the end of November.
