The original name of Neikeng is Li Keng, which has a long and glorious history.

In the Tang and Song Dynasties, it was named after the large-scale cultivation of pears. It is a famous pear and orange orchard in Jinjiang. According to an Haizhi, "oranges and fruits are the most popular. Historical evolution

During the agrarian revolution, Neikeng was the main activity base of Jinnan special branch and Jinnan county Party committee. In 1931, the bricking Party branch was established, the first party branch in Jinjiang City.

During the Anti Japanese War, it was one of the underground party bases in Quanzhou. From December 1946 to July 1949, it was the headquarters of Quanzhou central county Party committee and Quanzhou group of people's guerrillas.
