Guiyang Township
Guiyang township is located in the north of Dehua County, Guiyang village, the seat of the Township People's government, 68 kilometers away from the county.
The total land area of the township is 122.69 square kilometers, a total of 73 villages. It has jurisdiction over 9 villager committees and 69 villager groups. At the end of 1999, the total population of the township was 8192, all of whom were Han nationality.
Historical evolution
Ancient organizational system
Guiyang belonged to Youxi County as early as the fifth Dynasty, and Dehua County in the second year of Qianyou reign in the Han Dynasty. In the song and Ming Dynasties, it belonged to Yangmei Shangtuan and Yangmei zhongtuan of Changping Township and shanjunli of Yongning township (merged into qingtaili in the sixth year of Tianshun). In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to meishangli and meizhongli. In the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to Guiyang Township and Geling township.
Post liberation organizational system
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, the subordinate relationship changed several times. In the early stage, Xiyang, Guiyang and Wangchun belonged to guiyong Township, the fourth district. Hongtian belongs to the Sixth District, Geling township; from 1952 to the first half of 1956, Xiyang, Guiyang, pengkeng, Anzhang, Hongtian and Yongxi belonged to the Ninth District, while Wangchun, Zixi and Chenxi belonged to the fourth district; in August 1956, they were merged into four townships, namely Guiyang, Xiyang, Chenxi and Hongtian, all belonging to the upwelling district. In 1958, Hongtian was merged into juotou Township, belonging to Gekeng district. After communization in 1958, Xiyang commune was established in 1961 by dividing seven villages from Gekeng commune and Shangyong commune. It was renamed Guiyang commune in October 1981 and Guiyang Township in 1984.
Climate and environment
Guiyang township is located at the Northeast foot of Daiyun mountain, with towering peaks and continuous hills. The warm air flow is blocked by the high mountains, and the whole terrain is high, forming a cold winter and cool summer climate. There was a saying that "I dare not go to Guiyang without much clothes". The annual average temperature is 16-18 ℃, and the annual rainfall is 1700-1800 mm.

Forestry resources
The forest area of the township is more than 157 thousand mu, the forest coverage rate reaches 80.5%, the standing stock volume is 860 thousand cubic meters, and the number of Moso bamboo is 3.1 million. It is one of the three major forest areas in Dehua County.
water resource
Yongxi, which originates in Daiyun mountain and flows into Shuikou Town through Yongxi village and Hongtian village, is one of the two major streams in the county with large flow and high drop. It has more than 40000 kilowatts of water resources available for development, accounting for one fourth of the county.

There are also gold deposits in Hongtian and pengkeng, kaolin in Wangchun and limestone in Anzhang.

The infrastructure of Guiyang township has been continuously improved. There are more than 90 kilometers of roads (including mechanized roads) in the township, realizing the road access to every village. There are two main roads from Yongxi to Fuzhou via Shuikou Town and from Guiyang to the county via Shangyong, with convenient transportation. With the rapid development of Posts and telecommunications, there are 702 program-controlled telephones installed in every village.
Educational culture
At present, there are 1 junior middle school, 6 complete primary schools and 3 junior primary schools. In 1996, they achieved the goal of "two basics" in education, and won the inscription of Yin Zhongchuan, the national Supervisor: "a flower in Guiyang mountain area, everyone praises for running a good education.";
public health
There are health centers in townships and health centers in villages; there are also cultural stations and radio and television stations in townships, and a vertical and horizontal network of education, culture and health has initially formed.
economic development
The economy of Guiyang township has developed rapidly. In 1999, the total industrial and agricultural output value of the township was 36.3 million yuan, the output value of enterprises was 25.16 million yuan, the financial revenue was 1.08 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 2795 yuan. We should adhere to the principle of taking agriculture as the basis and vigorously do a good job in the comprehensive development of agriculture. The cultivated land area is 6893.5 Mu and the total grain output is 3482 tons. The annual output of timber is 70 million cubic meters, bamboo is 100000, pine resin is 250 tons.
In recent years, we have also set up large-scale township enterprises in accordance with local resources, actively developed mineral resources and power resources, and developed bamboo and wood processing, construction, transportation, commerce and catering services.

In November 2020, it was selected as the pilot construction township (town) of national forest health base in 2020.
