In the Ming Dynasty, the clothing of Hui people was gradually the same as that of Han people, using the surname and first name of Han people. In the late Ming Dynasty, the Hui people had been "the same as the Han people in terms of scholars, agriculture, industry and commerce". However, in terms of common psychological state, economic life, religious beliefs and customs, the Hui people still showed their own characteristics. They were considered as "the same kind meets the same kind" and "self-defense of their national customs, and eventually refused to change".
National customs
Religion: Hui people believe in Islam, which is a strict monotheism, so most of their customs are closely related to it. According to Islam, the supreme ruler of the universe is Allah. Allah means Allah in Chinese. Allah is unique, omnipresent and endless. There are no other gods in the universe except Allah. Therefore, most Hui people regard "Allah" as their only belief. marriage: according to the Koran, adult men and women are free to choose their spouse and are allowed to marry more
