Liangli town
Liangli Town, Dangshan County, Anhui Province, is located 15 kilometers east of the ancient city of Dangshan, so the "310" national highway and Longhai railway pass through the South Bank of the Yellow River. It covers an area of 67.83 square kilometers, governs 79 villages and has a permanent population of 56011 (2017).
Liangli town is the birthplace and main production area of Dangshan Suli, which is named for its rich production of high-quality Suli. Pear cultivation has a long history. According to historical records, it was planted in the Warring States period 2500 years ago. It took shape in the early Qing Dynasty. Emperor Qianlong went down to the south of the Yangtze River and passed through the town to taste the pears. He immediately told the local officials to "take them as tribute to the emperor.". At this point, Liangli Suli is well-known and worth double. According to scientific determination, Suli pear is rich in sugar, amino acids, vitamins, calcium, phosphorus and other minerals necessary for human body, "raw can clear the heat of the six Fu organs, ripe can nourish the Yin of the five zang organs", which has high edible and medicinal value.
The town's 50000 mu of arable land has been completely covered by orchards. The climate here is warm and the scenery is pleasant all the year round. The flowers are like the sea in spring and the fruits are like mountains in autumn. There are many scenic spots in the territory, such as "Wulong Puxue", "Aotou Guanhai", "Lishu Wang", etc., which are unique summer resorts and tourist attractions.
The township party committee and the township government have actively carried out the strategy of "revitalizing the town through science and education" and adopted a series of measures of "protecting the ecological environment and producing green food", with an annual output of 150 million jin of high-quality crisp pears. In 2004, there were 2 collective enterprises, 29 private enterprises, 346 individual businesses and 3420 employees. In 2004, there were 28 primary and secondary schools, 1 central kindergarten, 9950 students, 460 teaching staff and 20 kindergarten teachers. Zhenqu health center and Cultural Broadcasting Station have one each. In 2004, 420 CATV households and 7500 program-controlled telephones were installed in the town.
In 2002, Liangli town was rated as "advanced unit of rural tax reform pilot work" by provincial Party committee and provincial government. As of 2006, Liangli town has been awarded the titles of "advanced unit of target management of discipline inspection and supervision letters and visits", "advanced unit of population and family planning quality service", "advanced unit of central town construction", "advanced town of building civilized market town", "advanced town of labor export" and so on, and has been praised by the county Party committee and the county government for many times.
