Wusong town

Wusong Town, formerly known as Chengguan Town, is located in the southwest of Yi'an District, Tongling City, Anhui Province. At present, it has jurisdiction over four community neighborhood committees (Guanhu, hehuatang, Huiquan and wanjishan communities) and one administrative village (Chengdong village), with a total population of 26700. Located at the Bank of Tianjing lake and the foot of LiMao mountain, it was the political, economic and cultural center of Yi'an District of Tongling City. Historical evolution

In the Eastern Han Dynasty, Tongguan town was set up here.

In 951 A.D., Tongling County was established, and the county government was located in Jianghu (ancient Tongguan town). In the Qing Dynasty, the town was divided into two groups: the first group and the second group.

In the 17th year of the Republic of China (1928), on July 5, he was changed to Bao, and the region had two Bao (the former Fang Yi Qi and Fang Er Qi).

It was named Wusong town in 1940. According to Qianlong's Tongling County annals, there is Wusong mountain in the south of the county, which is the name of the town.

In April 1950, it was called Chengguan District.

In April 1956, it was called Chengguan town.

In August 1958, Tongguan mountain area was designated as a city due to the withdrawal of the county.

In April 1959, with the restoration of Tongling County system and the establishment of people's commune system, it was renamed suburban commune.

In June 1959, Chengguan Town separated from suburban commune.

In April 1960, Chengguan town and Chengjiao commune merged into Chengguan commune.

In March 1963, Chengguan town was established.

In March 1987, suburban towns were merged into Chengguan town.

In 1996, with an area of 54.9 square kilometers and a population of 38000, it has jurisdiction over 17 village committees in Chengdong, Jincheng, Jinshi, Hubian, Shiqiao, Liuchong, Jianshe, Jiangbin, Xinjiang, Dongchong, Machong, Lianhe, Qitan, Santang, Chawei, Fengxin and Zhangqiao, and four neighborhood committees in Chengbei, Chengdong, Chengxi and Chengnan. In June of the same year, wanjishan neighborhood committee was established.

In October 1999, Jincheng village and Jinshi village were assigned to Shizishan District of Tongling City.

In June 2002, the former Chengnan neighborhood committee was transformed into Chengnan community. In September of the same year, the reconstruction work of Chengxi, Chengbei and Chengdong communities was completed.

In May 2004, Chengguan town was renamed Wusong town.
